There really is not anything here to see when you consider the south downs way is up the road and far from the madding crowd. Worth a look....only if your down that way though....

Couldn't recommend enough. I went here a few days ago with my partner and we spent hours just sitting on the walls watching the sea and walking down the cliff side. It was beyond incredible. The views are stunning. Near the end there is a cafe and stairs to the village on top of the cliff which is quality beautiful.... More

A walk from the Palace Pier to Ovingdean and back will give you a good slice of Brighton life - raucous funfairs, the Brighton Eye, quirky fisherman's compound, children's playground, beach volleyball, nudist beach, cruising ground, green wall, the horrendous backside of the Marina, some world class chalk geology, one of the SE's best surfspots, great rockpooling at low tide,... I have cycled along the under cliff between Brighton Marina and Saltdean many times. It is safe for young children as it is away from traffic, but saying this as a walker and cyclist people on bikes can be a hazzard if they are not courteous in sharing the space. There is an lovely cafe on the prom at Ovingdean and then... Great for a bike ride with amazing views and epic sunsets. I went with my girlfriend and its hard enough to get her out for a ride as it is, but I managed to coax her into it after telling her how great it was when I went and showing her the beautiful pictures I took along the way. Wether... More

Great place to visit. Typical seaside pier. Has everything you would expect including a cafe which serves good fish and chips. Whether old or young caters for everybody.

Easy walking route to see the Chalk Cliffs. Also great area with access to cycle along the walkway and much quieter than cycling along Brighton seafront!

I'm so pleased I did this walk. Once you get to Brighton Marina, you take a left and walk along at the base of the famous white cliffs. I walked to Rottingdean and walked back to Brighton along the top beside the road. I highly recommend this walk.

Myself and my partner often walk along the undercliffe when we are in Brighton. It is always a refreshing walk next to the sea. A great favorite of ours is to walk from the Marina to Rottingdean have tea and cake in a lovely cafe and stroll back, very satisfying, I can highly recommend it.
