Breathtaking white cliffs from underneath, the undercliff walk can on a stormy day be rather dangerous, but mostly it´s a very pleasant, wide concreted route along the seafront, but below the cliffs, for cyclists and promenades. Romantic, or with scooters, you can reach the cafés in the other end and feel refreshed. Step down to the rock pools and beaches... More

The Undercliff walk from Brighton Marina to Saltdean offers an amazing seaside walk whatever the tide is doing, best in stormy weather, but always watch out for silent cyclists. Check out the cafe at Ovingdean and at low tide you might even find a fossil amongst the pebbles!

Light, bright, noisy, funny, clean and a total joy to visit. Plenty of seats available along the pier and good eating and snack places.

It is possible to walk from Shoreham Harbour to Saltdean in one straight line (save for a hideous dogleg when you get to the Marina Carpark!) a distance in the region of ten miles! Along the wide promenade in Hove, over the border to Brighton and along the beach line, on past the Volks Railway and then through the Marina... More

Lovely walking around and onto the Brighton pier. When in Brighton, It,s a must to see. Plenty of people watching to be done. Nice on a windy winters day

My family. friends and I often walk the Undercliff Walk from Rottingdean to the Brighton Marina or Brighton Pier. The views out to sea are spectacular and, from the Undercliff, there is access to the Beach, for rock pooling or simply getting close to the water, when the tide is out. We always make a point of stopping at the... More

this is a nice cycle route, but beware it has a lot of pedestrians who walk on the cycle paths, its a nice walk if you want to park at the marina and walk into the city

For a start most Brightonians don't call it the Brighton Pier , it was and is still the PALACE pier . Have to honestly say its nowhere as nice as it used to be , the attractions are not as much fun as they used to be and doesn't have the same atmosphere it once had , overrated and overpriced... We arrive on Tuesday, 28 Oct and had a stroll along the Pier. Great atmosphere and so much going on. We had a drink and then watched the sunset - perfect
