A nice wander along the beach, along some shops, towards the marina. Wouldn't really class it as a separate feature?

I've never been a huge fan of piers, but the 5 miles I walked under the cliff was amazing. I liked the part towards the east the best. I started walking near low tide and was able to explore all the little "tidal pool" areas. They are not like tidal pools in the USA, but they are still very intersting.... More

It was a really lovely way to spend the afternoon....there is so much to see on the undercliffe walk. We decided to stop for fish and chips and a pint on ther beach....how good is that! A perfect way to spend an afternoon. Well worth a visit.

pier is clean and has all facilities, fair rides etc, only thing that spoils it is that a fun fair ride is at very end of pier so stops you from being able to walk to it.

Flat traffic free walk or cycle ride by the sea with cafes to stop for refreshment & admire the sea views. Worth a detour to visit the beautiful village of Rottingdean for shops historic buildings & landmarks, museum & art gallery not to mention a wealth of cafes & lively pubs.

Great walk when the weather is good and exhilarating when the sea is a bit choppy. Great tea and cake available along the walk

The pier reminds me of Quadrophenia and is like a pier should be. Superb views and free deck chairs. Lots to do for young and old. Spend money? - Only if you want to. On a lovely warm day what more could you ask for?

Reasonably well kept pier, evoking many childhood memories. Everything is there for a good time and a day of fun. Many attractions are also in the area, we stayed for three days and had much to do and enjoyed every minute.

Really nice walk along the coast from pier to Rottingdean. Not that well sign posted once you get to the marina development but the undercliff is an easy, flat walk. Heed warnings about bad weather as we had to come up steps just past cafe as waves crashing completely over the walk.
