Great!

Great little trip on the Volks railway, perfect for little ones with a stop off at the barefoot beach cafe. Remember it's cash only and correct change helps.

THE WORLD’S OLDEST OPERATING ELECTRIC RAILWAY !! Experiencing Volks Railway should not consume much time. You can plan it along with other to-do's in Brighton. Location: The Volks railway is located beside the Brighton Pier and Brighton Wheel (along the same beach). Journey: Trains can be boarded from any station. End/Last stops are Aquarium on one side and Marina on... More

Not suitable for a day out, but as part of a visit to Brighton it is excellent. Just a nice little historic railway, starting near the pier and ending near the marina.

Visited on 4 August and on arrival at ticket office was told that as it was their 132nd anniversary the ride for the 5 of us was free! Great little train, goes to the Marina and returns, can't fault it.

After a visit to Brighton Marina, took this very historic electric railway back to the pier. The last time we were here the railway was not running so it was a great pleasure to experience it for the first time. At the pier terminus there is a handy cafe and pub with inside and outside seating which is owned by... More

A gentle trip along the coast as far as the Marina on the oldest operating electrical railway in the world. It's a shame the Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Electric Railway no longer exists.

Great little train that takes you to the marina. Great day out, kids will love it and they can stop half way for the crazy golf!

We hopped onto this train at the halfway point after a mini golf session and it was the cherry on top of a lovely day. The driver was so pleasant and let us ride up front with him, which gave us a great view of the track and seaside. Despite not planning this into our day visit, it turned out... More

This oldest historical electric railway runs easterly from adjacent to the pier and the Brighton Wheel along the rear of the beach to the car park that is about 800 yards from the marina. It is a nice relaxing ride that runs past the Naturist part beach and saves all that walking if you wish to visit the marina. It... More
