I love the feel of the lanes; anything that you can't find down here isn't worth buying. The lanes have a fantastic atmosphere and is full of places to eat and shops brimming with authentic goods.

These Narrow streets and shops are what Brighton is well known for although many of the quirky shops seem to have been taken over by more and more jewellers in the narrowest parts. Its still worth a wander and choccywoccydoodas can be found here. Def worth the time to have a look around

Unless you enjoy looking at antiques and jewellery then you'll be left underwhelmed. Had a Diagon Alley feel to it though.

Lovely old area but not as much of it as I thought. Some good shops and restaurants of course don't miss a hot chocolate and slice of cake in choccywoccydodah, amazing!!

I can remember The Lanes from my youth, it was always somewhere I visited every time I went to Brighton. Although the shops have changed over the years the atmosphere is still the same. Somewhat Victorian/ bohemian, as is most of the Brighton 'scene', It holds the essence of a bygone era with it's ally like walkways, it has a... More

If you are into great food & wandering through antique Jewellery also the history is worth a look visit Brighton Lanes. Parking is a bit of a pain but there are car parks near by. Brighton beach is also down the road. Brighton Peir is also close by but we found it to be very tacky.

I have bemoaned the poor shopping experiences available nowadays on the high street and in shopping centres on here, largely due to the generic nature of the shops available. I have also extolled the likes of Camden Market on here for the exact opposite reason. Even though a large proportion of the goods on sale nowadays at many markets may... More
