I loved the Poison Ivy gay Bar in St.Jame's Street. Drag queens there and cheap shots and spirits. we were only strangers for a couple of minutes. Were welcomed and hugged and chatted to by the locals and staff. :D Thanks for a wonderful night of music and fun!! Also Club Revenge had good atmosphere for a great nights dancing... More

More and more interesting shops and eateries opening. Gaining a more pleasant bohemian character. Friendly and buzzy place to live and visit

We loved Kemp Town, loads of lovely little shops and lovely people! We went and had tea in The Tea Cosy its a must (full of Royal memorabilia) and the scones are sublime who'd of thought you could make a snickers scone! Definitely going back there!

Kemp Town has seriously come up in the world over recent years and now boats the best selection of antique shops in the area, some great restaurants and bars and of course the seafront running right along it's southern edge. It's where Brighton locals go when they want to get away from the crowds :)

Some serious good value cafes and restaurants. Probably the best place to eat in Brighton. Lots of colourful characters in the pubs. Be vary of pick pockets.

Less commercial & with better prices than the Laines for eating out, browsing in antique shops & taking in the Brighton ambience. Charity shops too if you like that sort of thing.

Kemp town is like a car boot sale. On the surface most of it is just tat but that's the beauty of Kemp Town, you have to dig a little deeper. Hidden amongst the usual high street shops are some of Brighton's best pubs, cafes and restaurants. It's easy to dismiss this part of Brighton but if you actually spend... More

its not the nicest place to go too, especially on and Sunday morning, not a family place and being in brighton there is a lot better to go and see.

The butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker all sit side by side with one another. From a charity shop to high fashion accessories to the cheese seller and greengrocer, don't forget a post office and a tea room too. The people, the cars and the little dogs all roll around in a beautiful sport. A village within our fair... More
