We always walk along the Pier ,nice to take a steady walk ,getting buzzed by the gulls, but that's the seaside. Have a cup of coffee and just watch the world go byyyyyyy
The pier has a good feel of times gone by and really you have to take the time to have a wander along just to get the feel for being beside the seaside!
When in Brighton the pier is a must see. Not that You want to stay for hours but it still is a must. Why not take some photos of the beach or have a drink while watching all the other visitors of very diverse background? Old ladies, spanish language students, bunches of guys drinking beer, hen parties etc
We had a good time walking around the Pier, there could be more rides for under 1.2m children though. Staff were friendly and helpful for the most of it. The Helter Skelter looks rather scary but our 6 yr old and 13 yr old went on it again and again. The pubs could do with more family friendly facilities. Mostly...

It's pretty much what you'd expect of an English seaside attraction that's seen better days. Personally I love the Dolphin Derby and think that enjoying fish and chips with a glass of fizz at the Palm Court while the sun sets over the silhouette of the West Pier is hard to beat.
Having been to Brighton a few times (we're from essex), we had not been on the pier before, so it was our main plan for the day. The weather was a bit nippy but dry with a dreadful gale.
We are 2 ladies in the 40's&50's and were treated to a wonderful and hysterical few hours. The fact that it...

We love the pier, free entry, free deckchairs, not many places you can go that are 'free' nowadays. Beautiful views and people watching! Always get a good cup of coffee and a lovely ice cream and The Victoria is a good bar where we sat outside and watched the sun set, brilliant. This is what the English seaside is all...

a very nice pier with lots to do for kids and adults to do and lots of bad food :) to eat and its free to go onto
Loved the pier, we went on the pier both days and sometimes twice - during the day and at night. It had a lovely aytmopshere and we particuarly like that there were deck chairs free of charge. The choice of food and drinks outlets were really good on the pier and at the entrance to the pier.
