My wife and I have visited this particular Theatre a couple of times now and so we felt that was an ideal opportunity to write a review. On this occasion we saw a stage adaptation of Dead Simple by Peter James. The cost of our tickets were very reasonable as were the extras offered within the Theatre. This included a... More

It was an amazing performance weaving together biography music and poetry of this artist who delighted and shocked his audiences in the 60ies

I've visited this theatre on many trips to Brighton & I have seen some fantastic shows!. I recently saw Calamity Jane which was absolutely brilliant! & what better venue to see such a brilliant show in, than Brighton's Theatre Royal. Friendly & helpful staff, gorgeous Edwardian decor & an intimate bar added to the entire enjoyment of the show!. Brilliant... More

This is a pre and post London weekly tryout theatre. High standard plays, musicals, pantomimes, comedíes. In fact everything a theatregoer could wish for in Brighton at non London prices!

Went to see Oh What A Lovely War (excellent show, excellent cast) first visit to this theatre which is situated right behind the Royal Pavilion. Really impressed with the beautiful architecture, original features, friendly staff and excellent seating. Would be more than happy to come back here to see another show. Not the cheapest theatre, but some things are worth... More

I love the Theatre Royal, Brighton. This was my latest visit to see the musical Spamalot (again). Not the biggest theatre I've ever been to, but definitely one of the nicest. The staff are excellent, from the girl who sold us our tickets, to the barman who complimented me on my moustache, to the gentleman I bought ice cream from.... More

There are a lot of good things about this theatre, there really are. It is a lovely space, over 200 years old with plenty of original features (and those features protected by being Grade II listed). It's big enough to attract good shows, but small enough to still be an intimate venue. Good sight-lines from where I sat (circle) and... More

This Theatre has a great feeling to it from the moment that you view it from outside to the moment that you step inside. An old style theatre with lovely architecture - not too many around like this nowadays. Good staff and customer service. The bar is fairly priced against many pub prices. Drawback - extra booking charges and then... More

At near £65 for two ticket stop see Saturday Night Fever (good show) including the obligatory restoration donation I can't help but wonder when that money will get to the theatre. It's a lovely venue, intimate. But it's also dumb numbing and damn uncomfortable. Really could do with a refresh.
