Recently saw Dawn French in this theatre. Her show Thirty Million Minutes was quite good. However the design of the theatre is a bit like trying to enter Big Ben in London with so many steps. I'm a young person so wouldn't mind walking so many steps but not if your an older age.

3 one act plays from Noel Coward - none of our party liked them, very low applause at end. Poor content and interest. Lovely theatre otherwise.

I've been there to a play and the theatre is really beautiful, exactly in the centre of the city. A good place to enjoy a cultural programm.

A lovely theater and a fun Agatha Christie play topped off our first evening in Brighton. We enjoyed a drink before the theater and mugged with the cut out of Poirot in the lobby. A lovely venue.

Went to see "Under MIllkwood " last night at this very special Theatre.Superb performance and it was a joy to be inside . Quite small but that only adds to the Atmosphere. My wife and I had seats in the Second circle about half way up at the end C16 & 17 , which were not too pricey and gave... More

This beautiful, ornate theatre is a wonderful venue to take in a play or show. Situated on a pedestrian street behind the Pavilion, it also has a lovely, Victorian pub attached to it if you fancy a pre-show drink. The seating is tiered and therefore offer a good view of the stage from most seats, however if you suffer from... More

I have been coming here for over 20yrs and I love it -it is well worth a visit especially if you are a visitor and there is a something on you fancy - i love the intimacy and you can feel the history of the place - why not have a cheeky bottle of prosecco next door in the colonnade... More

This is a lovely theatre which puts on a wide variety of quality shows and performances. The auditorium is lovely and even the seats with limited view aren't that limited. It does get quite warm, so wear layers and be prepared to take the top layer off. Enjoy!

The Theatre Royal is a lovely old theatre on New Road in Brighton. Quite large and actually bigger than I was expecting, although considering the history of Brighton this is not at all surprising. A real wide variety of shows on here - check out their website to see the calendar and find something that interests you. I believe they... More
