This beautiful historic abbey is free to look around with many interesting features, vaulted ceiling and large stain glass windows, there are quite often musical recitals with amazing acoustics, 1 minute to the town centre well worth a visit.

The Abbey is absolutely stunning well worth a visit. The voluntary helpers there are so obviously proud of this wonderful building and it is so well cared for. The roof alone is worth the visit but there is much more to see.

This abbey stands so proud. On this occasion we were able to enjoy an organ recital. The abbey, and grounds are a lovely oasis in a beautiful town. Seats surround the abbey close, time to sit and contemplate. The little abbey gift shop is worth a visit too.

This is a lovely Abbey with a wealth of history. We were there for a wedding, which proved to be the perfect venue. The architecture is stunning and I'm always impressed by the Ten Commandments mural on the pillars near the nave. The acoustics are also very good for a building of this size. It's well worth a visit.

Our visit to Sherborne Abbey was a highlight of our recent holiday. It is a magnificent building, steeped in history and a testament to the skill of the craftsmen who built it. Its ceiling, amongst the best I have seen, is quite possibly unequaled. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre, and lit a candle to departed... More

A truly ancient building with its origins in Saxon England. See the relics. Wonder at the architecture. Take time to enjoy the local High Street. A joy to visit and while away the time.

This lovely Abbey is well worth a visit. Set in the pleasant market town of Sherborne, it is a gem. Particularly outstanding is the glorious fan-vaulted roof, but there is so much else to see and enjoy too.

This abbey is covered in history with the village of Sherborne a beautiful Tudor backdrop. Inside we found a man who was painting the most exquisite religious paintings and to chat to him made the visit
