We attended a lunchtime organ recital in Sherborne Abbey which lasted about 45 minutes and was excellent. The programme was varied and uplifting, about 60 people attended. The vaulting in this lovely building was inspiring and the organ, woodwork and altars showed wonderful workmanship. Much military and personal history was on display and there were tasteful gifts to buy at... More

A beautiful abbey, built in golden local stone. The inside is awe inspiring, the fan vaulting is wonderful rivalling that of Kings College Cambridge. The magnificent interior also includes interesting stained glass. Well worth a visit. Set in a pretty town.

This is a truly lovely building and is well worth a visit. The ceiling is stunning and there is a shop just nearby. Entrance is free. There is plenty of parking nearby.

This beautiful historic abbey is free to look around with many interesting features, vaulted ceiling and large stain glass windows, there are quite often musical recitals with amazing acoustics, 1 minute to the town centre well worth a visit.

The Abbey is absolutely stunning well worth a visit. The voluntary helpers there are so obviously proud of this wonderful building and it is so well cared for. The roof alone is worth the visit but there is much more to see.
