If you are passing this way you must visit. The colour of the stone and the lighting inside is truly wonderful. This is a warm and welcoming place to be in and certainly not damp and dark.

This mini-cathedral is well worth a visit. The tremendous vaulted ceiling, the stained-glass and the ancient tombs are all beautiful examples of English medieval church architecture and make one pause to wonder at the extraordinary work done by so many of the faithful so long ago 'to the glory of God'.

This is a very interesting abbey church in the heart of Sherborne and it has examples of a variety of architectural styles ranging from Norman to Victorian. Of note are the Pugin designed windows and the Whistler etching. Try to visit on a Tuesday or a Friday as these are the days when, from memory, free guided tours are available... More

What a delight to see. Really impressive fan vaulting, wonderful stained glass windows. Tidy and very well looked after. The two people on duty (vergers ?) were both helpful and informative, and they made us feel welcome. A lot to take in on one short visit, it is well worth a return trip. If you make a donation to the... More

A beautiful building both inside and out.interesting to hear of its history both from the leaflet and the pleasant lady who was supervising the place.the local primary school had their break up for summer service in here so we sat in for that.would recommend.

Truly worth a visit if you are in Sherborne or the surrounding area. The architecture if superb and to think it has lasted and been maintained for all these years. A great place for some quiet reflection.

Well worth a visit. A part of the Abbey dates back to Saxon times and there is so much history about the place.

One of the most beautiful roofs I have ever seen in a church anywhere in Europe. Very quiet and peaceful. Many military emblems and details relating to the Dorset Regiments.
