There appeared to be lots to see and read, however the museum is small and, I felt, far too many people were allowed in at once. It felt unsafe at times, especially on the stairs. Avoid taking a buggy if you can - it was impossible to get around with one. The quiz was a nice touch. It was just... More

This was just ok, the children were amused/ interested for about half an hour. Quiz helped to keep them interested but not for long. Had a far better experience at the museum in Lyme Regis, couldn't get the children to leave that one, a fabulous display of fossils and a wonderful interactive set of resources for the children to explore.... I went with my teenage son in August, we found it small but filled with information. We spent just over an hour within reading all the information on the walls, we found it interesting and informative with exhibits you could actually touch (unlike most large museums). We have been to the natural history museum in London many times - do... More

What more can I say. My 3 & 6yr old boys liked it but with the place being small they got bored relatively quickly. It's a lot of money for what it is, if they used the money to update and modernise it a bit it wouldn't seem as bad.

Sad to say how disappointed we as a family was after paying over £30 entrance fees, Walking around what is basically a 2 up 2 down house that took all of 30 minutes at the most and this was only due to the other people in the place... Sorry but will not be recommending to any1

Good selection of interactive displays which children can touch, open , feel. Nice couple of video presentations as well. It is small and is popular so can get a bit overcrowded. Worth it . They also have one of the dinosaurs used in Dr Who which if you like Dr Who makes it worthwlie going for this alone. Easy to... More

This is a really lovely little museum, but far too expensive for what it is. Even when bundled in with the other museums it would still be a little pricey (but better); however, there are only so many museums that you can drag little children around. Much better value were the Dorchester Museum (which included a very good fossil bit)... More

I thought this was great: there was enough information to find out more if you wanted to and enough "hands on" stuff to interest our 5 year old. In fact he was a hundred times more engaged here than at the NHM. Yes, it could do with a little updating, but I thought it had a certain charm about it... More

A terraced house with a few tacky toys screwed to the wall doesn't deserve the title of "museum". There are a few better artefacts and models, but nothing worth spending money here, especially considering the entrance price for an average family. Steep stairs and largely inaccessible if you have a wheelchair or buggy.

set in a house with plastic toy dinosaurs stuck on the wall with a fact attached, a couple of large dinosaurs to have picture with. Cost £6.99 per adult, way over priced! and took all of 15mins to walk round, far too over hyped! would recommend not visiting this so called museum!
