This Museum lacked everything, out of date. Nothing interactive. In fact i would go as far to say it was the worst museum I've ever been to. Needs serious updating and many more interactive things for visitors to do and see... Not recommended (At All)...

This museum has obviously had a lot of effort put into the information. It's very accessible, particularly for kids. It's crammed into a small building and doesn't take long to get around. I have to say it's wildly over priced. I'm sure they struggle to make ends meet but at close to £24 for a family of 4 it was... More

Our family loved this and voted it best out of the Teddy's / Terracotta Warriors / Mummies & Dino's! Lots of interactive bits for the kids to do and lots of photo opportunities!

We visited the museum on a cloudy August Saturday with our 5 and 3 year old. My 5 year old son is crazy about dinosaurs and was transfixed by the huge dino figures, interactive screens and cinema room - which was showing a film about T-Rex and other favourite dines when we popped in. At 11.30am it was fairly quiet,... More

The attraction is squeezed into a small building and I think it is more a place to visit with children than any thing else. There is a room playing a video about how dinosaur bones have been found and the formation of the continents and a discovery room for children to explore,, they have a few reproduction models of dinosaurs.... I read a lot of reviews on here before we finally decided to give the museum a go for ourselves, I have to admit, reading lots of negativity did put me off on a couple of occasions, but I'm glad that we decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a go. We haven't been to a museum... More

There appeared to be lots to see and read, however the museum is small and, I felt, far too many people were allowed in at once. It felt unsafe at times, especially on the stairs. Avoid taking a buggy if you can - it was impossible to get around with one. The quiz was a nice touch. It was just... More

This was just ok, the children were amused/ interested for about half an hour. Quiz helped to keep them interested but not for long. Had a far better experience at the museum in Lyme Regis, couldn't get the children to leave that one, a fabulous display of fossils and a wonderful interactive set of resources for the children to explore.... I went with my teenage son in August, we found it small but filled with information. We spent just over an hour within reading all the information on the walls, we found it interesting and informative with exhibits you could actually touch (unlike most large museums). We have been to the natural history museum in London many times - do... More

What more can I say. My 3 & 6yr old boys liked it but with the place being small they got bored relatively quickly. It's a lot of money for what it is, if they used the money to update and modernise it a bit it wouldn't seem as bad.
