We are now open every day from 11am to 5pm. Entry is £10 per person. Entry to the Gallery is free. Due to deep water no children under 14 years of age. No dogs. Described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes. Whether it is work on a monumental scale that relates to its environment, or smaller works, the sculptures of Simon Gudgeon are perfectly placed in the delicately nurtured natural landscape to visually enhance their surroundings. The effect is a balance, a harmony of form and context where the experience is central. Without walls, without interpretation, each person can engage with the art and the ever-changing environment.

What a wonderful, peaceful, tranquil place. A hidden gem, such a calm and energising place to be. The wildlife and planting is amazing, some really beautiful trees and plants set around three lakes. All there is to hear are the sounds of the birds and water. The amazing part are the tactile sculptures all unique that are placed in strategic places... More

With my sister and brother-in-law, I spent 5 hours exploring this amazing place. Although 3 of the sculptures had been taken to the Chelsea Flower Show, there were lots of sculptures remaining for us to enjoy. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and as we walked around it was such a pleasure to be able to appreciate the tranquility and peace... More

Lovely half day out in a beautiful, peaceful environment. This was our third time, this time with guests who said they were uplifted by the experience. Take a picnic or go out for a meal afterwards. A great day out.

We previously visited last Autumn. The lakes looked a possibility for migrant nesting birds. As we are 'birders' we returned to wander around these lovely lakes and sculptures. We saw Reed Warblers a plenty, heard several elusive Cetti's warblers and saw a Garden Warbler singing in some bushes.

We were very much looking forward to visiting here with our daughter, however there are no children allowed which is such a shame, this place seems like it could inspire imagination and even spark a love of sculpture or art in children but instead it is reserved for adults only, places that segregate children like this really need to get... Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor. Many people who have visited the lakes and left feedback mention the peace and tranquillity experienced whilst visiting, something that would have be disturbed by having children under 14 here. We believe it is important for adults to have somewhere to go that is quiet and restful, away from the bustle of everyday... More
