We are now open every day from 11am to 5pm. Entry is £10 per person. Entry to the Gallery is free. Due to deep water no children under 14 years of age. No dogs. Described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes. Whether it is work on a monumental scale that relates to its environment, or smaller works, the sculptures of Simon Gudgeon are perfectly placed in the delicately nurtured natural landscape to visually enhance their surroundings. The effect is a balance, a harmony of form and context where the experience is central. Without walls, without interpretation, each person can engage with the art and the ever-changing environment.

The sculpture park is a fabulous place to visit, there is a wide variety of different sculptures all incredibly beautiful, and all of which are set in the most wonderful of surroundings. A wander around the tranquil park is relaxing with sculptures to be found in nooks and crannies as well as the large bold pieces. There are plenty of... More

We booked online & they were happy to change our date a couple of times, due to bad weather. When we got there, we received a warm welcome and information, then left to wander at our own pace. We had a hot sunny day, took a break on sunloungers near the lake & a couple of hanging chairs. The number... More

Had a chance to go there just once and was totally mesmerized by the tranquility, fine pieces of art and just the possibility to find your own pace and space. It was a beautiful day in late September. The place was truly a unique experience of flow with your thoughts, while walking along the lakes and river banks. Agree with... More
