We visited Athelhampton just last week and we were delighted. We had been a little concerned about one of the reviews, but can't agree. It cost us £17.50 for 2 adults and 3 children to get in, its not a child's attraction, no swings or slides, but the helpful staff gave the children a quiz and the gardens proved great... more

I was so expensive to get in, the cafe was cold, the staff were uninterested in my custom and the house is very small. The house does have some lovely contents and art but most areas are roped off and the guides do not offer much info - it was like pulling teeth actually. I have also visited Kingston Lacey... more

Over the past 3 years we have been to Athelhampton nearly 10 times! Admittedly to organise our wedding - but I can still give a very honest opinion!! :o) Simply put - this is the most wonderful place! You can tell from the word go that it is owned by people that care about it, and who want to share... more
