This little museum has a small range of different bears from the famous to the collectibles. We went as one Senior, rwo adults and one 3 year old and it came to an extortionate £30! There was a large gift shop which wasn't far off the size of the actual museum. It was a nice little museum and they made... More

Didn't know what to expect from a Teddy Bear Museum but we were very pleasantly surprised. A complete range of bears were on show from very small old ones to giant ones in a story setting. Little ones could have their photos taken and parents can read out the stories as you go round. It doesn't take long to go... More

Escaping some of the worst weather in a decade we dripped our way around one of the most curious museums I've ever been to. A real jumble-sale of a place with these freaky life sized bears in tableaux! It was worth wasting 20 minutes of your life and a lovely lady on the cash desk who cheered us up as... More

I paid to get in and then realised that the exhibition would take about 10 mins to go round. I tried to imagine the grandchildren here but thought they would like to be a lot more "hands on" than this setting would allow. The last part of the exhibition was dedicated to something I could buy! (no way!) I got... More

Very adorable museum with hundreds of bears in cupboards and a little story to read as you walk round. Downside is that a lot of the bears (Steiff etc) on display are replicas, would be good to have more originals but a lot of the UK childhood bears seem to be original. I imagine children would enjoy it and it's... More

Love it, the way it has been laid out was fab. Although my husband groaned at first he did have a good time to :-)

we decided to go teddy bear museum for something different to do. It was a short thing to walk around but you get to see all the old bears ie sooty, first ever winnie the pooh etc. There was a story card the woman gave us at the start too. Also there was a bear shop at the end of... More

Ok it's small but our 8 year old loved every second and if you read the story and get into the spirit of the place. Next door is the chip shop that was very good so teddies and chips how cool.

Spent a day in Dorchester and visited this museum as well as several others. It is based in a house over 2 floors with many different types of bears and my wife and daughter enjoyed more than me. It is a little dated and cramped but would entertain younger children than mine better. A little disappointing.
