Took a 10 year old and an 11 month old here on the way home from spending the weekend in bournemouth, and they both loved it. It's not massive, but they have enough fish, turtles, otters etc to keep the kids entertained for an hour or so.

Having been to Newquay Aquarium, our expectations couldn't have been any lower, but this place was a real gem. It's not the biggest place in the world by any means but they have a good variety of exhibits. The otter enclosure is a must, especially at feeding time. You can also go in and out as many times as you... More

Been to the Cafe here a few times and it's always been really nice. Would recommend it for breakfast anytime with a great view of the sea.

On a visit to Bournemouth this is one attraction that is always on the list. This time we visited in half term and it was pretty crowded but that did not detract from the overall experience. To stand and watch the giant turtles as they leisurely swim around can be very relaxing. The Tunnel is a great experience and just... More

It was fun and a good variety of animals however only took less than an hour to walk round including stopping for ages to try and take a selfie with a turtle in the tunnel. Would go again though as it was cheap and a different activity from the norm

Spending the weekend in Bournemouth, we called in here for a coffee and walk around the oceanirum and see the animals on view... Well laid out, good educational information labels on the animals on view. Infirmation quiz trail for children. Great selection of animals and sea creatures. Currently in the process of building a sea lion area. All animals looked... More

Having visited the London Aquarium in comparison I found this a little dull and uninspiring it was also very grubby.

It's animals in captivity which always divides me - morals versus experience. Once past the fact that this is not their natural environment it is absolutely fantastic. They have a great selection of water life which is cared for very well and offers some great up close experiences. Great for children of all ages and adults alike. Loads to see,... More
