Came here with my husband unplanned, was just passing really and I think we went out of season as was pretty quiet. After going to the London aquarium a few years back, theres not much of a comparison. Its not a bad place, and i didn't dislike it, just was a little disappointed. Some cool things to look at and... It's not a very large place - certainly London Aquarium is much bigger. Yet there were some interesting exhibits - turtles, coral colony, big catfish and the underwater tunnel. If the weather outside is nasty - this is one of the places you can go to.

We went here as a treat for my 3 year old, although she loved it and enjoyed looking at all the animals, it only took about 45 minutes to walk around. We went round twice so that we could watch the otter feeding, we were expecting to have a talk given and watch them feeding the animals, but it was... More

This is a great place to go rain or shine. Definitely not to be missed if you are in Bournemouth. Very close to the centre and right on the beach.

For the price of £9.95 I was expecting a bit more to see... it's ok but nothing special so I won't go there again... it's ok just for one time visit only..

I've enjoyed visiting the Oceanarium in Bournemouth a few times now. It has definitely improved since it first opened. If you are going to visit I would recommend purchasing tickets online for a discount. It's got a good variety of fish, however it's not very big, so would be a half a day trip. It's definitely worth staying for one... More

Was hoping this place would be better but the website bigs it up to be something it wasn't! Took about 30mins to walk around it all and the tanks were quite empty! Disappointment

This was just lovely, the otters and turtles alone are worth the visit. The bad behaviour of a lot of children spoilt it for us, climbing all over the seating, one came in on skates, not the aquariums fault at all. Parents remember we paid too, we want to enjoy it the children are a reflection of you. We thoroughly... More

Very interesting, something for everyone, well signed, interactive displays. Cafe a bit disorganised. Good shop.

This is easily the best sealife/oceanarium in the country. I visit 2 or 3 times a yr. This is a must see attraction in Bournemouth, winter or summer. Best news is they are getting bigger and better soon.
