Had visited this attraction on several occasions in the past and found it interesting and good value for money (last visit however was about 8 years ago). Returned with my 14 year old son as we anticipated that the information and displays would help him with a school project. Exhibits seemed tired and dated. Overpriced for what was there. Best... I was bored one day so we went to oceanarium. We thought it was going to take us ages to get around. But it only took us an hour. The creatures are good and different but not lots there

What a brilliant visit. My girls didn't want to leave. I could have sat and sketched fish in my art book all day. My girls enjoyed taking photos with my camera phone (with the flash disabled of course). Thanks for a lovely day.

Although a little dated, we all thoroughly enjoyed our time. Excellent opportunity to get up close to exhibits and fish. We spent loads of time in the underwater tunnel - great.

Being a Bournemouth resident, I've been to the Oceanarium a few times. The staff are friendly & welcoming you with a smile, the gift shop/reception area can get a little busy at peak times. This attraction could be so much more with a larger location & funding. They have got a good variety of aquatic species, the tunnel is always... More

This Oceanarium in Bournemouth is probably the smallest I have been to in my travels but it is the most intimate. Getting up real close to the marine life is amazing. The under water glass tunnel is really awesome especially during feed times. Plenty more to do and see than just fish. There is loads of activities for the kids... More

We enjoyed it, you can go back in as many times as you want during day of purchase. Which is good for meal times which are two hours apart for different animals. They have feed and talk displays, he was good polite and friendly (he must be sick to death of saying same thing) but doesn't let it show. Educational... More

Having been to some US and South African oceanariums this was a little disappointing. The passages between the exhibits were quite narrow and would not be comfortable at peak times. The interactive presentations were good. The aquarium facility in general was very warm and in winter people coming in with coats etc would get very hot. Perhaps a place to... More

It isn't the largest place but they do have a good selection of different species, love the turtles and the otters..do agree it could do with a bit of an update and a bit more information and interaction. reasonable price though and nice to while away an afternoon :)
