Good alternative level walk to the beach and shops. Paths are kept clean and the facilioties extensive for coffees or ice creams. Take in the tethered baloon ride. Beware ofd the cheeky squirrels who will climb your trouser leg before you can say "nuts"!

I walked into the Lower Gardens from the Bournemouth Pier and was delighted by the peaceful and eye pleasing stroll that I was able to take despite the cold temperature. I even took a moment on a bench to soak in a little sun!

Very tame squirrels will eat right out of your hands. My children were thrilled at these beautiful little critters being so friendly. Beautiful gardens. If I had more time, and less children, I could sit for hours and paint some lovely water colour paintings

Having family in Winton we come here every trip and as previous reviewers have said in the summer the gardens are beautiful and provide a nice walk between the shops and the breachfront or somwhere to relax with a drink and watch the world go by. This winters night visit we had a drink at the faux "Bavarian(?) Bar" below... More

Spent a great time watching the squirrels and feeding them. The gardens are a great place to relax and just people watch. Nothing to dislike.

When visiting Bournemouth my husband and I love walking through lower gardens on the way to the sea front and shops. It is a beautiful area and looks well cared for. We did not partake in the ice skating they had while we were last there but it looked very popular and so too was the mink golf. The smells... More
