This is a really lovely park with a little stream running all the way through it. It seems to separate the shops from the sea front. When we visited there were all different walks of life making use of the park. There are lots of squirrels in the area of trees and they are obviously used to the general public... More

Having been born and brought up in Bournemouth I knew these gardens well. We moved away and returned for a short break recently. I was honestly shocked by the transformation , many of the flower beds have been grassed over and the place is over commercialised. Bournemouth Council have completely ruined what once was a delight to all.

This lovely large park is right in between the shopping centre and the seafront. It is very big with a little river running through the middle. There are lush trees and plants and flowers which are all very well kept, and there is no rubbish lying around as there are many people working to keep it looking nice. There is... More

These gardens run form the centre of Bournemouth to the Pier and Beach, There are many places to sit down and a bandstand, used for performances in the Summer Months. Several cafes provide sustenance and there is an air balloon ride to see the countryside and coast around Bournemouth, also a pitch-and-put is available. During August and then again in... More

Relatively flat and easy route to shops. Plenty of activity going on due to Bournemouth Marathon weekend.

Bournemouth best kept secret is the friendly squirrels. They run up to you to see if you have foot for them. Some are very fussy and only like Brazil nuts!!

Gardens are very attractive with plenty of seats and a little putting green. Beware of squirrels who seem to think your food is their food!

The gardens are really nice all year round but the arts festival fire night was spectacular and something totally different to the usual entertainment. Very relaxed and lots going on up and down the gardens meant this was would be a huge success whether u wanted to sit and enjoy for hours with friends or just pop down as a... More

To walk from the town centre to the beach and pier a pleasant stroll through the gardens is a very relaxing experience , with a cafe at the end where you can quench your thirst with a drink or ice-cream . Very English .
