We walked the whole length of bournemouth gardens it took us 3 hrs in all, there and back through various areas of intreats, it follows a natural small river with lots of flowers, plants, trees and wildlife and most is well kept, some has been left to go wild near the end but it looks like it is meant to... We meet all of the world in Lower Gardens. And so did I when I came to Bournemouth in 1978 as a young student. The world have not changed much, and I my teenagers and I loved it!!!! We will get back to Bournemouth at any time.

Beautifully kept gardens with Bourne river running through, a lovely walk from the busy Bournemouth Square down to the beach. There is an observation baloon which takes you way above the gardens to look out over the sea and surrounding area, crazy golf, a band stand where there is often music being played and then as you approach the pier... This is a fabulous location to play music and we always getting an audience that is interested in stopping top listen to a few pieces before moving on. We were a 40 piece wind orchestra and apart from the chairs being to few (due apparently to other band taking them!!!) it was a very well organised bandstand.

A nice stroll from the square to the seafront. Plenty going on for the children in the summertime. Bands for the adults, crazy golf for both. Some evening entertainment for the family evening times in the Summer months. During the winter, just a pleasant stroll.

Gorgeous flowers, lots of places to sit. On a sunny day, a lovely place to have a picnic, or just to sit and enjoy the sunshine. A short walk from the town through the gardens brings you out at the pier.
