It is a very pleasant area in which to stroll, sit and relax or eat your takeaway mid day lunch. The balloon is sited there and was actually working during our visit

beautiful autumn colours as we made our way through Lower Gardens. Especially appreciate separate paths for walkers and cyclists.

Lovely gardens well cared for and a great place for a stroll. Plenty of food outlets and lots of squirrels! Plenty of seating. Well used.

This is a really lovely park with a little stream running all the way through it. It seems to separate the shops from the sea front. When we visited there were all different walks of life making use of the park. There are lots of squirrels in the area of trees and they are obviously used to the general public... More

Having been born and brought up in Bournemouth I knew these gardens well. We moved away and returned for a short break recently. I was honestly shocked by the transformation , many of the flower beds have been grassed over and the place is over commercialised. Bournemouth Council have completely ruined what once was a delight to all.

This lovely large park is right in between the shopping centre and the seafront. It is very big with a little river running through the middle. There are lush trees and plants and flowers which are all very well kept, and there is no rubbish lying around as there are many people working to keep it looking nice. There is... More

These gardens run form the centre of Bournemouth to the Pier and Beach, There are many places to sit down and a bandstand, used for performances in the Summer Months. Several cafes provide sustenance and there is an air balloon ride to see the countryside and coast around Bournemouth, also a pitch-and-put is available. During August and then again in... More

Relatively flat and easy route to shops. Plenty of activity going on due to Bournemouth Marathon weekend.

Bournemouth best kept secret is the friendly squirrels. They run up to you to see if you have foot for them. Some are very fussy and only like Brazil nuts!!
