Beautiful Gardens

Beautiful Flower Beds and well-kept rockery next to The Pavilion Theatre. A Band sometimes plays at the bandstand. It is just by the lovely golden sand beach.

Unfortunately it was pouring with rain but we still wanted some fresh air, it was nice walking in the Lower Gardens and I can imagine they are wonderful in the sun shine!

Free activities for kids such as dance classes , brass and other bands play regularly. It's an oasis of a place with wildlife , running streams and several interesting levels each with benches for a sit down.

It's a nice walk around Lower Gardens on your way to the beach. It's an ideal place for a Picnic away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area. I feel that Bournemouth is a restful place, perhaps that's why so many people retire down there.

It is my privilege to be Chairman of Bournemouth in Bloom and it gives me the greatest pleasure to review this attraction which is a must for anyone visiting the coastal town. The Lower Gardens is a horticultural joy and the refurbished Pier Approach is a credit to Bournemouth Council. One cannot but be amazed at the manicured gardens in... More

Take a stroll through the gardens at any time of day or night, very pretty well kept and welcoming place. I have visited in winter and summer and it's a pleasure to be in such tranquil settings.

We took a slow walk through the gardens and found them to be well maintained. A small stream runs through the gardens and the ducks bobbin on it makes it worthwhile to see. The well maintained flower borders are delightful and there are plenty of park benches to sit on if your legs get tired. The squirrels are tame and... More
