Very educational new visitor centre recently opened - well worth a visit - take the children. Full of local history and archaeological information. A walk along the Head and the coast are also well worthwhile.

Bit of a mission to find this beach but we persevered and were not disappointed. Clean loos, The Hiker Beach Cafe has good coffee, and food if you want a light meal, the dogs, and there were plenty were all well behaved and properly looked after by responsible owners. There are many walks, well laid, out with numerous information boards... More

If you are in Bournemouth take a bit of time out to visit Hengistbury Head. The views are great of the coast, beach and out to sea. The beach is nice - not too busy and bliss out of high season. There are a lot of dogs on the beach and most have responsible owners that pick up their mess... More

We walked around this as part of the bus and boat tour and it probably deserves a whole day of its own.

Great walk with fabulous views and beach at the end. Got the land train back; lovely. How any reviewer can moan about a few stones on a beach is beyond me.
