Not really for kids but a lovely walk in this unspoilt spit of land. The high cliffs give a great view of the Isle of Weight, Bournemouth Bay, Christchurch and on a clear day nearly as far as Southampton. There is a café near the car park and if you choose to take the ferry over to Mudeford, there's a... More

On days out with the family, we often like to visit Hengistbury head as a nice alternative to going out in Bournemouth. It is very nice to walk along or stop on the beach. The kids enjoy hiding in the sand dunes and long grass, and you get a great view from the top of the head.

Stunning views. Well worth the extra walk, especially to see the beach huts. You can always take the ferry to Mudeford and get the bus back.

Best suited to a fine weather walk. Well worth the walk. Whichever way you go. Quite easy going from Studland but more challenging if you go across Ballard down.

My future daughter in law lives nearby, and it has always been a favourite walk for her, my son and their dog Poppy. So I was introduced to this walk which was one of the prettiest, interesting and beautiful walks I have ever been on. It started at a cafe with toilet facilities and parking, a pathway/road (but vehicle restriction)... More

This is a wonderful place to visit. A contrast of beautiful sea views and walks along the beach one side and a more sheltered path inland along the nature reserve to the huts and little ferry over to Mudeford. We are frequent visitors and enjoy every trip whatever the weather or season.

We visited this lovely little spot in the evening whilst staying Christchurch, and it was the perfect spot for a sunset walk. You can have a wander along the beach where there were several fishermen which we stopped to watch, or continue over the hill which provides stunning views in every direction. I'd recommend this spot to anyone, it is... More
