Excellent day out.

Excellent bird watching opportunities. Brilliant views from the top of the headland and different walks around the harbour and along the beach.

We love this beach and have visited several times. Really good for walking dogs - miles of sand and crashing waves with options to explore woodland and paths in the centre of this spit.

Always love going round Hengistbury Head. We park further down the road which makes it a good walk for us. Great view all round from the top. And there is always the land train to take you back if the legs get heavy. Probably visit 6 times a year

On a lovely day there is no nicer place for miles around. Beautiful views ,a touch of history, wild life and plenty to do.A ride on the noddy train for the little ones or a short ferry ride across the bay to Mudeford Quay.

We take everyone who comes to visit us to hengistbury head and have yet to find anyone who doesn't fall in love with it. From teenagers who live in London to my mother in law who lives in Scotland via cousins who come from San Francisco and including a death metal boyfriend from Australia! Everyone finds something to love about... More

Having been around the area and having not been to Hengistbury Head for some time we decided to see if it was still as stunning as our memories told us it was. Well it was a bright sunny and clear day, a bit breezy but still not really cold but having walked towards the end of the head our memories... More

Great spot for a walk or lazing on the sheltered beach. Large carpark or foot ferry from Mudeford or Tucton.

Great walk round to Mudford Spit and the Beach huts with a return walk round Christchurch Harbour lane, or take the train back to the car park. Tuckton ferry sails from Mudford to Christchurch Quomps or Tuckton bridge.

It has stunningly beautiful views. It is varied terrain and you can choose how challenging to make it, by walking, cycling or running or there is a land train. You can also choose to walk over one the top paths for amazing views, or walk round the beach side, the pretty road side, or there is a crunchy middle path... More
