Hengistbury Head provides magnificent views in all directions, is steeped in history and has wildlife in abundance. These natural features with the addition of The Hiker Cafe/Restaurant and the newly built Visitor Centre make a visit to Hengistbury Head an exceptionaly enjoyable experience for the holiday-maker and visitor.

Not a difficult climb at all. lovely views and bracing when the wind blows. Good place to walk the dogs and a café near the car park.

We walked around this as part of the bus and boat tour and it probably deserves a whole day of its own.

Great walk with fabulous views and beach at the end. Got the land train back; lovely. How any reviewer can moan about a few stones on a beach is beyond me.

Parking at the visitor centre the first bin we found was right down by the Mudeford Beach huts . We dog owners get a bad press but when you are out with your dog(s) for the day it... More

Lovely walks and superb views especially from the top of the head. Only downside from my point of view was the number of dog walkers with some letting their dogs just run free. OK I suppose if you have a dog but a bit of a nuisance otherwise. Well worth a visit though with a decent café good parking a... More

Can walk to the spit of Heng Head isle of wight sea side, Christchurch harbour side along the shore, use the path especially if it is boiling hot as there is a lot of shade. The path... More

Just enjoyed a wonderful day at Hengistbury Head. Toilets and café in carpark, then we walked past the beach, climbing up to viewpoint with stunning views of Bournemouth and across to IOW and Needles. There are useful information boards along the way. Then down to Mudeford Spit with beach, café, toilets and beach huts - not just any beachhuts -... More
