Fantastic beach with good facilities. The well stocked Beach Cafe is worth a visit. We travelled from the large carpark to the beach on the 'Noddy Train' but as the last one back was 1710, a gentle walk along the flat lane was not a problem at the end of the day. The sea was always very close at hand... More

Great place for people who loves walking and hiking. Feel like close to nature. There is a nice motor train that takes you Mudeford and take a boat to go around Christchurch Quay.

What a fantastic place to spend the day with your furbabies. We spent a good 6 hours walking and swimming in the sea. On reading some peoples comments I don't know what they're on about. Having been here many times I've never seen dog mess everywhere. I find the place very clean apart from the odd human litter eg drink... More

lovely cliff top walk, and along the beach. Plenty of parking and cafe facilities, also toilets. Ideal to walk dogs, and children! Plenty of places to have a picnic, lots of places to sit and walk, or run if you feel the need to.

You can access this from the car park near Southbourne, or go to Christchurch Quay and across the harbour on a little ferry to Mudeford Sands. You can walk over the top with sea views or along the bottom with views across to Christchurch and the harbour. Very interesting area of natural habitat and local history.

The new visitor centre just past the car park (follow the road on foot for 2 minutes past the Hiker café) is lovely. Good exhibition of local history, archaeology, geology and wildlife with nice little gift shop and beautiful suntrap garden. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff started off our visit well. Decided to walk to beach and take little road train... More
