The "farm" was very nice, lovely to see so many red squirrels. Although having visited several times, we have yet to see the hedgehogs. Not taking card payments is very inconvenient though. This is understandable for the farm as the prices aren't too bad, but the cafe prices are somewhat different. Coffee is sensibly priced, however.....£4.95 for a (not great)... More

We visited the rare breeds farm at mid afternoon after coming back to Totnes on the steam train. We Purchased the 3 in 1 ticket which enabled us to a ride on the train and to visit the Butterfly and otter house in Buckfastleigh as well as the rare breeds farm. There was enough for our 20 month old girl... More

The farm was nice enough, although farm is a bit of a grand title. Maybe small holding would be better. We spent 3 hours there with an hour spent in the cafe and 20 minutes or so walking to the toilets a few times as there were none at the farm and you had to walk onto the train platform... More

We have visited a couple of times. We love the café for coffee and lunch and the warm welcome we receive from all the staff. They love to talk about the animals in their care and we love to listen. We love the fact that most of the animals can be stroked, petted and fed and they are all extremely... More

I took my two year old daughter here and she enjoyed it a lot. They give you a bag of feed each as you go in, included in the ticket price. We loved feeding the goats and petting the donkeys and whiled away over an hour here. The cafe is very nice too. I did feel that the donkeys had... More

This lovely little farm is a short and pleasant walk from Totnes. It was really well signposted nd there's a Tourist Info centre nearby if you're struggling. To get in, you pay £5.95 for adults, £4.50 for children, and under 2's are free. They also do family tickets and a 3in1 ticket to combine with the steam railway and an... More

Combine your visit with a trip on the South Devon Railway and a visit to the Otters and Butterflies at Buckfastleigh and you have a really great day out for all the family. The children really enjoyed holding the guinea pigs and stroking the owls. The staff are very patient.
