Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

We took this guided tour of the vineyard on a pleasant sunny day. The guide was very interactive which made the tour more enjoyable. You need comfortable shoes for the long walks. When we had finished the tour we were given many tastings of wine which went down a treat. Finding the vineyard is quite a challenge and not well... More

Getting to the vineyard is not for the faint hearted as the roads are narrow and at times quite close to the edge. However, once you arrive, the vineyard has a relaxed atmosphere and 3 levels to tour. We decided to opt for silver which meant we picked up a map and walked round the vineyard ourselves. This is very... More

Jasmine made a fabulous lunch for our party of 23. My monkfish was absolutely delicious, pulled pork was amazing, staff were delightful, very attentive and helpful. Wine was as good as ever and we will definitely be returning.

What a great place! Fab food and a fun atmosphere sitting under the umbrellas. The fish platter was a perfect summery lunch and the pulled pork a hit. We came by boat, anchored in 12ft of water and dinghy'd into the quay. A great afternoon, all enjoyed with lots of lovely Sharpham rosé!

This is the second time in two years I have been here for lunch with my wife. I chose the pulled pork with brioche bun, salad and chips. The menu was good and offered a variety of nice dishes. If you like fish a very good selection. The food was ok but over priced. The best part was the imaginatively... More

Couldn't eat as they had large party booked, so that was a huge disappointment. The walk was nice, nothing more nothing less. The wine tasting held by a very very young girl who when asked questions that weren't in her script hadn't got a clue. All in all a long drive for a disappointing experience.

We visited this little alfresco café after reading about it in the Sunday times a few weeks ago. We don't live far away and had never visited Sharpham before, we where not disappointed, what a lovely drive down to the café, we had booked for two and had a lovely table in the sunshine over looking the river, we eat... This was my first trip to the new Anchorstone café at Sharpham, The menu carries on the traditions of Rosie's café - offering cheese, seafood and picker's (ploughman's style) plates. 4 of us shared a cheese and picker's plate and bread - perfect for a light lunch. We have always loved Dart Valley Reserve white wine but now really like... More

Just went for food at the Anchorstone, the service was slow (30mins to order a drink, 55 mins before we got some food) they have plenty of staff and a process but its not adequate for the number of tables. We ended up just having one main course scallops (4 for £13.50). It's okay if you just want to kill... More

A few years since we have visited. The view and setting as great as ever and the wine is as good as it gets in England. Memorable cheeses too.
