Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

We visited Sharpham's on a cold rainy December day but still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We did the self guided walk around the vines and grounds, and although obviously the vines were not in fruit, we enjoyed the views of the river dart. After a 40 minute or so walk we felt we had fully earned the wine and cheese... More

A scenic walk by the river and past the vines followed by a wine and cheese tasting with a knowledgeable sommelier. The cafe looked good but was shut today so we had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the views. I think you can do other walks around the estate which we hope to explore another time.

What a super place! Well worth a visit, a lovely way to spend a day. We visited on a super, sunny September day and saw the vineyard in all it's glory. It's in a beautiful setting with stunning views across countryside and the river Dart. We took a self guided tour (with the map which was provided) through the vineyard... More

Well sign posted (this is down windy lanes but what else would you expect in Devon). Amazing views as you approach. Great setting and staff helpful and friendly. Dogs more than welcome, started with a walk (map provided and easy to follow), then wine tasting with cheese (good value). Stayed for lunch - amazing food, then walked again. Beautiful setting,... We had an enjoyable walk around the vineyards with views over the Dart. This was followed by wine and cheese tasting. We tasted 2 red, white and rose' wines and a selection of cheese, very nice and bought some bottles of wine in the Sharpham shop. There is a restaurant at Sharpham and the food is good.

Three of us visited Sharpham Estate on Monday 14 Sept 2015. Not the easiest place to find as its definitely off the beaten track, but reasonably well signposted. Plus points - Beautiful location, stunning views, friendly staff Average points - Signage and options tucked away inside. Would be improved by having the signage more visible when you arrive in the... More

We had been given as a present, two tickets for a vine to wine guided tour of Sharpham vineyard. We would highly recommend this both from the informative and the picturesque scenery that accompanies you along the River Dart. The tour takes approx. 2hrs. Wine is tasted at the various vines. We took In lunch prior to this tour and... More

Went to Sharpham's Vineyard last month with the missus and baby boy. First up it's a bit off the beaten track to get to, down single-file cart tracks. It's not clear straight away what the options when you get there which is fine if it's not a tourist attraction but it pertains to be one a little bit. We asked... More

Had a great time at Sharpham - Elka is a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable with a wonderful style that was both fun and educational. There is clearly tonnes of passion and hard work that goes into the wines and cheeses from this idyllic setting, nestled above the Dart. It was a real treat to understand the entire process from nature... More
