Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir, and nature has bestowed her gifts freely upon us here at Sharpham. In the winery, we employ both New World and traditional techniques to best develop our unique regional characteristics. Our tally of International Awards confirms our position as one of England's foremost quality wine producers. We invite you to visit, sample, and make up your own minds about our fine English wine.

Having visited vineyards in France and South Africa I am sorry to say that Sharpham staff need to take a hard look at how to present a visitor attraction. We were boooked on the last tour of the day and it was very evident that the staff just wanted to go home. This the only wine tasting I can ever... More

We visited this vineyard as part of our East Anglian wine growers Vineyards of the West Country tour. The tour of the vineyard and winery was excellent and we picked up many useful tips and hints. The tasting and al fresco meal afterwards was wonderful. We were booked in and the cheese (also made on site) was very good indeed... More

In desperation where to take visiting friends, we happened upon Sharpham on the internet. I booked lunch for 1.45pm (booking essential), ready for the Vine to Wine Tour at 3pm (£19.95 per person). I wasn't sure what we would get for £80 for our afternoon but was certainly not disappointed. Lunch was magnificent and hats off to them for it... More

Having seen so many things about this place I was eager to give it a try, the walk through the vines on the estate was stunning - but things went downhill after we returned to the café. The welcome back was rather short, having never been we didn't know the bar wasn't where we should go to find our table... More

My wife, daughter and son-in-law and i went on the vine to wine tour on Sunday and thought it was a brilliant experience, excellently led by Elke (who really knew her stuff and was really friendly). A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Jeff Boyne.

Brilliant day trip. My 8 moth old loved the walk & trying the cheese, my Mother & I enjoyed tasting the wine! Gorgeous views, very interesting hearing about the vin yard. The young lad who served us was very welcoming & extremely knowledgable. We both said we could tell he was interested by it & enjoyed it as much as... More

I did not have great expectations of this place, having been warned that it had a "limited menu", a large party being expected and it being outdoors-only seating on a day which was not particularly hot. However, the very pleasant surroundings (great views of the Dart Estuary) and the landscaped estate were complemented by food that was really very good... More

Have just returned home form Sharpham after taking my daughter for a bit of wine tasting for her 18th. Had a lovely walk in the sunshine and then returned for our taster of wine and cheese. Presented brilliantly by Yolanda who added to the experience. Wine and cheese superb so would highly recommend this whether it is just for a... More

A fantastic lunch experience with a lovely chilled bottle from the Sharpham Winery. Delicious sharing platters (we went for fish and cheese) with superb desserts that demand shared spoons to sample each dish. Highly recommended.

What a lovely few hours walking through the vineyards down to The Dart then tea in the garden and wine and cheese shopping. The wine tastings looked popular. Definitely a visit to recommend.
