At first I thought we were going to be disappointed as the ramped entry is not particularly inspiring despite the very intriguing bottle whale. However immediately upon entry to the main area we were greeted by two ducks and a penguin. The ducks were on the pathway and the penguin in an enclosure which upon first glance did not seem... More

We visited this attraction on the recomendation of the staff at our hotel. When we first went in we were a little concerned about how small it was but soon realised it was bigger than we thought. The layout was a little confusing but as we walked round there was a map giving the layout. The various animals in the... More

This was our second visit to Living Coasts, the first being some 6 or 7 years ago. I have been reading some of the other reviews, and several people thought this was poor value for money because they only spent about 50 minutes at the venue. We must have spent over half an hour watching the penguins, and a similar... More

Really enjoyed the living coast. Loved the Penguins. Looks small from the outside, but lots to see and do once inside and we would highly recommend it.

Trouble is, this place doesn't really make it clear what it is, or what the usp is. It is interesting; it is well laid out; it is on an attractive site; some of the opportunities to see animals like penguins and otters upclose, and underwater, are unusual and worthwhile. But it is small - 1 hr max to see it... More

Living coasts is situated on Torquay quayside and is a great education into the ocean life. However you can get round this in about an hour which is pretty quick for the price you pay.

Real care has been taken in the construction of this attraction to give some experiences with the animals that you would not find in a traditional zoo. You are greeted with an underwater persecutive on the diving Puffins and Cormorants then lead into an outdoor area where the birds are free to fly around you. You get a really up-close... More

Living coast was a lovely day out, very small attraction and if you wanted to spend the day then this isnt the place. Also make sure you get there at feeding times else the animals are hard to see.
