This was our 2nd visit and it was raining that day. I have to say that some parts of the attaction are outdoor so bring a umbrella or rain coat. I would say, spend about 2-3 hours for us. There are activities lasting a day. We are limited by the car parking - not free and can be expensive. It... More

We brought a Zooper Ticket whilst at Paignton Zoo, as we knew that we would be visiting Living Coast the following day. We were looking forward to our visit, but by the time we left we were very disappointed. We arrived and asked if they had any visitor guides to purchase, only to be told they were sold out and... Honestly I don't understand how places like this keep going! It made Sealife centre look like disney land. Hardly anything worth seeing. The underwater tanks were covered in algae so barely able to see anything in the water. There were more pictures of animals than animals themselves. The great white animatronic shark at the end was embarrassingly poor. Took about... More

We visited living coasts with our 6 year old in her wheelchair. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. All attractions were accessible without too much effort. The talks given by the keepers were informative and interesting without being patronising. All in all a fantastic day out and well worth the money.

As you can tell I was expecting more a sea life centre. It didn't even come close to the smallest one I've been to. Can't blame the animals they did the best the could to keep my under 10's occupied. The most disappointing the wad that every two steps unplug and recycle was rammed down your throat. A tiny bit... More

Thank you for your review. Living Coasts is advertised as a coastal zoo and aquarium. Unlike Sea life Centres - we are a charity, part of the Whitley Wildlife conservation Trust. As we specialise in conservation and education, it is one of our objectives to create awareness of environmental issues. Currently we have the MARLISCO Marine Litter Exhibition temporarily on... Not much to see here and you cannot see much through the algae covered glass tanks. Expensive and not worth the money.

Thank you for your comments. Living Coasts has over 50 species including seals, otters and numerous birds as well as 22 types of fish and crustaceans, so it is a little inaccurate to say there isn't much to see. I apologise that the clarity of the seal and penguin tanks were not at their best on the day you visited.... More

Good value, tho bit on the small side/although more personal experience. Penguins open to walk amongst the guests... (if the Penguins want to (which they do!)). Enjoyed feeding the Penguins time, V good education speaker+associates - learnt lots (me and my daughter)..

For the 1st two days of our stay in Torquay we were intrigued by the netting we could see on the top of the cliff to the south-east of the harbour. We asked a local guide in the harbour who told us it was "a bird display thing that's not all that". Later that day we decided to have a... More

It says it in the title, we had a nice time here but as many other reviews state the underwater viewing glass needs a good clean, spoiling an otherwise ok visit, the kids enjoyed themselves which was the main point of going.
