Description: The Babbacombe Theatre is a professional venue renowned for wowing...
The Babbacombe Theatre is a professional venue renowned for wowing audiences with their highly acclaimed variety shows, throughout the year and has been a valuable asset to the English Riviera for over seventy years. The all new show for 2015 will assuredly add some sparkle to a production that promises to glisten from start to finish. It saddens us to have to tell you that the nursery rhyme, 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', is a myth. Stars only appear to twinkle! But do not despair - this is not the case with 'Starlight' which will assuredly set you all aglow. You can be confident that the cast, a 'constellation of stars', will be doing what they do best, ENTERTAIN you! Starlight, promises a night of hilarious comedy antics, whilst celebrating the very best of the old and the new amongst the realms of music in all its genres. There are musical highlights from the much loved and popular, Starlight Express and Love Never Dies as well as from The Commitments and Memphis, shows currently doing well on London's West End stages. There will be some classic pop with Ollie Murs and Rihanna songs featured and we have gone international with a much loved classic performed in Italian! Whilst the younger cast members, show you 'A Whole New World' which is guaranteed to leave everyone feeling on cloud 9! The theatre has, access for the disabled with a disabled toilet and Wheelchair spaces as well as a Loop System. For details on all the shows programmed at the venue, including Starlight please refer to the website, or contact the box office.

Was on a holiday to Torquay and was offered to go and see this show one evening with a free bus to collect and drop off from the hotel. Wow what a fantastic show the singing, acting, dancing and costumes were wonderful and I have never laughed so much in my life the tears were running down my face, I... More

My husband and I are frequent visitors to the Babbacombe Theatre but have to say they excelled themselves with The Music of The Night. It was absolutely wonderful from curtain up to the finale. If you only go and see one show this year - then you must make Music of The Night that show - believe me you will... More

We had a wonderful evening on Tuesday 2 June - we were there with a group from Sutton Coldfield 51 Club. My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair on such occasions. The show was absolutely fabulous - such talent from a relatively small group of artists. We all laughed so much, our chuckle muscles were exhausted! Tony, the compère,... More

Great, big voices on the women. Lily Laight is a fantastic dancer but they just had her dancing around some numbers in an uncomfortable juxtaposition. Richie Lee kept singing -wrong lyrics to Keane song - I think I'M amazing-- I thought it was a pisstake - that he thought all the pensioners wouldn't notice- and his phrasing in general too... More

Laughed so much and admired the voices and the quality of the comedy, costumes and variety. Clever use of stage and lighting and dancers were and singers were exceptional. Wheelchair access if you can transfer to a seat - row V at the top by the disabled WC and the booking office.

I visited the theatre to see an acoustic performance by Toyah. It was my first visit to the theatre and I found the staff I dealt with to be polite and friendly.Toyah, together with two guitarists put on a thoroughly enjoyable show telling stories from her youth and her acting and singing career. She also sang a number of songs... More
