I first visited years ago as a child with my grandmother and recently went back with my boyfriend as he'd never been. I never cease to get excited when visiting, the sights, sounds and smells really make you feel like you've gone back in time. It's such a treat to see everything that would have been used during the time... More

Lovely little place, 3 floors of interesting things. At first, it did remind me of York's Castle Museum with the cobbled street, but nevertheless, very very interesting and fab. Loved the war part on the third floor. I have to also say a HUGE thank you to the cafe staff who let me rest my painful leg and even told... More

This is a great collection of all things victorian as well as a full sized traiin engine, an old pub and a truly excellent railway tearoom serving cream teas and fresh soups amongst other things. There is a victorian street of shops and currently a World war one trench walk through exhibit, not for young children, and an Anderson shelter.... More

This was packed with all kinds of things. Lots of model trains, World War One trench, toys. It was great for kids and would keep them interested for some. Time

This appears to be like a terraced house amongst shops from the outside, but once inside the atmosphere changes. It really does take you back into Victorian times, with cobbled streets & genuine memorabilia locked behind glass screens, more like a museum I would say. The coffee shop is always open & available parties (I had 2 for my kids... More

This is a great way to spend the morning or afternoon - especially if the weather is damp!!! Very interesting displays and so much displayed in a relative small area - amazing. Love it all especially the world war II exhibition where I recognised too many items!! A lot of thought has gone into this attraction and it is well... More

A visit to Bygones is a must for any visitor to the English Riviera, we've been coming here for over 17 years and have not been disappointed once. It's like a trip back in history, I won't say too much otherwise it may spoil your visit but there are various shops to see, a steam train, dentist. Model railway all... More

We've visited Bygones a few times now over the years. It is really interesting to step back in time to the Victorian period to see how people lived. The displays were very authentic with smells to match. This place would be interesting for all ages. When you look in the old authentic shops you see many products on the shelves... More

Visited Bygones AGAIN this year. 4th time now: my kids ask to go every time we're in Devon!! We particularly like the Victorian street as there's so much to see and you always notice different things on subsequent visits. We all enjoy looking for the old fashioned packets and jars etc of the contemporary things we buy today. The cafe... More
