This museum is amazing, it is packed to the rafters with things from the past, and it bought back so many memories. The museum is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and is well worth a visit. Staff very friendly and helpful.

There is so much to see at Bygones. We loved our visit and there was so much memorabilia it was amazing. We spent a good couple of hours here looking at everything. Even in our early twenties it was interesting for us with a great old fashioned working arcade and a great gift shop we would visit again.

Bygones was very interesting and well presented - lots of memories (happy ones!) for the older visitor and a good social history lesson for those not quite old enough to point out things in the displays and comment, "Oooh, we used to have one of those!" Best of all, it was dog friendly, which was very much appreciated by our... More

Enjoyed the appropriate smell in each period room from 1897, the sweet shop, the chemist, the dentist. The life size models gave our 13 year old daughter the creeps and we expected the breathing Queen Victoria to say 'we are not amused'. The old Penny slots were fun and the staff in the cafe helpful when some of the machines... More

We took our 2 children aged 10 and 12 to Bygones for a afternoon visit. The ticket price is reasonable. We all enjoyed looking at all of the fascinating memorabilia, and recognising some familiar brands in the shop displays. Our children enjoyed the Model Railway Display and the Amusement Arcade. We enjoyed a half time refreshment break in the restuarant.... More

We visited on a rainy day (oops) and the place was packed. It is a gem and there is so much to see here. The trouble we had is so many people were allowed in that you just couldn't see anything and felt pushed along the whole time. We had a family with lots of children behind us all with... More
