A lovely place to while away an hour or two. The story behind the collection is interesting. A marvellous trip down memory lane. For us it was made all the more interesting due to a wonderful elderly lady 90yrs young who bought certain areas alive for us having lived through the era's on display Worth every penny on the admission... 'Bygones' filled a good hour or more on a rainy day with lots of sights and sounds of past eras. A lot of enthusiasm has gone into putting together artefacts, from the Victorian age to ww2, in various settings on 3 floors. The street scenes, shop interiors, etc are particularly well-done and great family fun. A cross between a museum... More

The interesting story of Bygones starts when a guy purchases a 28000 kg locomotive, little does the story say what his wife had to say when the husband closed such a deal. Bygones has anyways developed into a higly interesting story of an England that is gone-by, hence the name. The museum manages to capture the details of how shops,... More

This is an amazing collection set up and run by a family. There is so much to see that we walked round twice to make sure we did not miss anything. There were so many reminders of childhood and growing up with lots of fun interactive elements. Worth a visit any time of the year. Don't miss the chance to... More

Visited with family for the first time, the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Many years of their hard work have clearly been and still is devoted to this wonderful and interesting fascinating educational trip back in time. A must for all whether young or old. We are sure to return.

This place is fantastic! The exhibits are so lifelike even down to all the sounds of a busy Victorian street. But a heed of warning it is not suitable for disabled people. As I am in a wheelchair I could only see the exhibits on the ground floor and there are three floors. But while my wife looked around one... More

This exhibition of Victorian artefacts is extensive and impressive. You get to see shops well equipped as they would have been 50 or 100 years ago and the selection of items is incredible. The exhibitions are very well laid out and gives you a real nostalgic feel. Do give it a try.

Interesting displays with sound effects and smells. An expensive tourist attraction which feels cluttered and dated. The day we were there was quite empty- wouldn't want to visit on a busy day since there isn't much space. Not suitable for those with mobility problems- on 3 floors.
