We visited this attraction whilst staying in Paignton this year and really enjoyed our visit. Well worth it and takes some time to look around. Has a small Cafe for visitors. The displays and exhibits are great and really to take you back to times gone by. I would agree with most of the reviews and can sympathise with those... More

So much to see and marvel at. This museum started from the enthusiasm of the owner when he installed a steam train in the building and around that has gathered a huge ,excellent collection of Victorian, First world war etc memorabilia. You start by walking through a victorian st , being able to listen to the sights and sound of... More

What a fantastic collection of forgotten things ..you enter into a Victorian street , along with sounds and smells and continue over 3floors ,through indoor scenes and a world war 1 bunker .we spent a very happy couple of hours there and there is a cafe too

Excellent educational trip to wartime and Victorian England. So much to look at and take in. However it was quite humid walking around the three levels so those who suffer from heat might like to take a hand held fan with them

A lovely recreation of Victorian times. There was a lot to see and we liked the mini scenes. A very interesting and good place especially for schools. It is great for everyone though, I loved it.

I first visited years ago as a child with my grandmother and recently went back with my boyfriend as he'd never been. I never cease to get excited when visiting, the sights, sounds and smells really make you feel like you've gone back in time. It's such a treat to see everything that would have been used during the time... More

Lovely little place, 3 floors of interesting things. At first, it did remind me of York's Castle Museum with the cobbled street, but nevertheless, very very interesting and fab. Loved the war part on the third floor. I have to also say a HUGE thank you to the cafe staff who let me rest my painful leg and even told... More

This is a great collection of all things victorian as well as a full sized traiin engine, an old pub and a truly excellent railway tearoom serving cream teas and fresh soups amongst other things. There is a victorian street of shops and currently a World war one trench walk through exhibit, not for young children, and an Anderson shelter.... More
