Lovely, clean, comfortable theatre with good acoustics. A quite unusual feature was the lady going down the gangways selling small bottles of wine before the performance and the portions of chips that were available on departure for £1.00.

We went to see La Boheme here the other night- A wonderful performance, comfortable seats and we had the joy of having drinks before the performance and during the interval in the bar/restaurant with a glorious view of the harbour and bay. Many people were eating there. We looked at the menu and what people were eating. It did not... More

My children paid for my husband and I to go to Torquay for my birthday. The Princess Theatre was a really good theatre and we were able to see really well, the advantage of course was that we went to see Alison Moyet and she was fabulous. I definitely recommend this theatre.

My wife and I seen this at the sunderland empire and I have to say its one of the best shows we have ever seen , brilliant singers and dancers . It was quite emotionally charged as well and left me feeling privileged to have seen such a wonderful performance. 5*

We went there for a quick lunch and ordered jacket potatoes both of which had been cooked hours if not days before and heated up. We sent them back and got two more which were only marginally better.

Went to see "An evening of Dirty Dancing" - great show, but the Princess? - Oh dear... peeling varnish, threadbare seats, the "old lady" needs a makeover AND HOW! Very sad to see, I have magical memories of the Princess, my Dad was manager there in the '60s. This theatre is not a credit to Torquay.. ATB,J.

The décor is dated and would benefit from a bit of tlc but the size of the theatre was quite big. We had seats at the front so got a very good view. We saw the show "Thriller" which was faultless. The only thing we bought was a tub of ice cream which I thought was a bit pricey (£3.50)... More

Despite it's dated and well worn interior décor and threadbare seats, the theatre atmosphere was electric. This was a weekend birthday treat including hotel accommodation for my wife to celebrate her birthday with the family, the Rod Stewart musical 'Tonight's the Night' was her choice and what a brilliant show it was! Fantastic entertainment value. Even for someone like me... More
