Went to see Brendon Cole & the atmosphere was electric. Seats rather small for most bums! And some places looked rather tired.

I came to Torquay to see Susan Boyle at The Princess Theatre. The theatre looks lovely on the outside but is in need of a bit of a face lift inside. The show itself was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ice cream at the interval was a bit pricey at £3.50.

Lovely, clean, comfortable theatre with good acoustics. A quite unusual feature was the lady going down the gangways selling small bottles of wine before the performance and the portions of chips that were available on departure for £1.00.

We went to see La Boheme here the other night- A wonderful performance, comfortable seats and we had the joy of having drinks before the performance and during the interval in the bar/restaurant with a glorious view of the harbour and bay. Many people were eating there. We looked at the menu and what people were eating. It did not... More

My children paid for my husband and I to go to Torquay for my birthday. The Princess Theatre was a really good theatre and we were able to see really well, the advantage of course was that we went to see Alison Moyet and she was fabulous. I definitely recommend this theatre.

My wife and I seen this at the sunderland empire and I have to say its one of the best shows we have ever seen , brilliant singers and dancers . It was quite emotionally charged as well and left me feeling privileged to have seen such a wonderful performance. 5*

We went there for a quick lunch and ordered jacket potatoes both of which had been cooked hours if not days before and heated up. We sent them back and got two more which were only marginally better.

Went to see "An evening of Dirty Dancing" - great show, but the Princess? - Oh dear... peeling varnish, threadbare seats, the "old lady" needs a makeover AND HOW! Very sad to see, I have magical memories of the Princess, my Dad was manager there in the '60s. This theatre is not a credit to Torquay.. ATB,J.
