The Downs is a stretch of parkland running on top of the cliffs looking out into Lyme Bay to the east and Torbay to the west. There is a theatre, several cafe's view point and a railway that takes passengers from the top to bottom of the... More

Wonderful views across the bay. Quaint shops and cafes, well worth a wander around for a couple of hours.

A lovely little seaside town just outside torquay, be careful of the hills but you be disappointed. there is a cliff railway down to the small beach and cove.. plenty to do and see.

Took the ferry from Torquay across the bay to spend the day in Babbacombe. Plenty of nice enterers and pubs and amusements. All in all a lovely day out

The most beautiful, place in the country to sit and watch the world go by. Amazing views of the sea, costal coves from babbacombe to Portland Bill. There is a cliff railway to take you down to the local beach where the sea is clear and inviting. There are excellent eateries on the downs from cream teas to outstanding day and... More

Fabulous place for a great sea view. There is a nice walk down the hill to the beach. Beware, you have to come back up.

There is a nice grassed area and seating on the downs above the beaches, with a nice breeze to keep you cool in the sun, and a few pubs to eat and drink in very local.
