A lovely walkway all along flat and accessable and lots of grassy areas for kids and dogs to play on! great views all along and a cliff top lift down to Oddicombe beach below, great little theatre too!
lovely walk on the downs, very braceing early morning, good for getting rid of the cobwebs (ho yes and the hangover).
Very beautiful and friendly place and wicked place to go with doggys lots of good walks and most of the shops museums will except them. And only a short half hour walk to torquay town. Ive been comming here 3 years I love it
Lovely to walk along the sea front. The gardens are clean and beautifully kept. We could see the remains of the house which recently 'fell off the cliff' a little way east of the funicular railway. Wish we'd had more time to enjoy Babbacome, but we did go to the theatre!
Lovely . We travelled with our disabled daughter who loved the lift. Disabled and carers are free so it was only £1.95 for a return trip. Staff really friendly.
Babbacombe has plenty of varied shops and cafes and pubs the downs and cliff tops give a wonderful view over the sea. But if you struggle with walking don't attempt to go down the hill road to the pier cos youll never get back up unaded.
Great location, relatively flat, but plenty to do. We chose this area as we wanted a quieter location - but within easy distance of Torquay & the harbour. A great choice of accommodation - The Downs Babbacombe - we can see why they have been awarded a 4 star silver & breakfast award!. And such great views over Lyme Bay...
