Babbacombe is the best place for a relaxing holiday, the shops in St. Marychurch precinct are just like going back in time with friendly staff and you can get anything you need. The Downs in Babbacombe are lovely, you can just sit and watch the world go by with a delicious ice cream from the Cliff Railway cafe. We come... More

Take the railway to the bottom near Oddicombe - great views over the bay. Enjoyable walk along the beach to Babbacombe.

Beautiful scenery, good local shops, Model Village and the beach are really close by. Hanburys fish and chips are to die for, and of the Himalayan is in the Main Street. Ideal area for anyone wanting a picturesque break.

Unusual good history of the lift free of charge on the beach. All the staff are volunteers and so helpful.

Great shops without all the big chains. Delightful cafe's and beautiful beach.Don't miss out on Bygones and the cliffe railway, Cary's inn is worth the walk. The Model village is a must.

What a lovely little village. We took the ride up and down on the cliff railway to Oddicombe Beach, a really beautiful setting. There was also a path for anyone wanting to walk along from Babbacombe Beach. The railway was good fun and the visitors centre very interesting with wide historical information about the railway.

Despite going to Torquay several times, this was our first time to babbacombe. We caught the bus from Torquay and the driver helpfully told us where to alight and we followed the signs to the beach. It's a nice small town and the views from the top of the cliff were spectacular. We walked down to the beach through the... More

Beautiful views, lovely scenery, visitor centre, shops, restaurants and a little theatre very good for summer shows & winter pantomimes, all in Babbacombe. Sometimes there is hill rallying on the steep hill down to the beach. Oddicombe is a very good beach (difficult to tell if this is part of Babbacombe it is joining it). sheltered bay for families with... More
