We loved Sammy the tame seal that came every afternoon. Lovely cliff top views and beautiful walk along the south west coast path.

We enjoyed our afternoon walking around the area. Most of the family walked the trail down to the water. Lots of benches with views over the water.

Are you wondering where the hidden gems are in this part of the world.... does the madness and glare of the surrounding towns leave you feeling a bit heavy hearted and dismayed with the world? Then you need to hike yourself up to Babbacome and the beautiful St Marychurch. Here you will find excellent cuisine, beautiful gardens and some of... More

Babbacombe is a beautiful little resort town, situated on a cliff with a beach below. The views from the cliff are perfect and you can access the beach on foot (very nice walk), by car or by the cliff railway. I would recommend either for a day trip or as a base for a longer stay on the English Riviera.

We had a fabulous week in Babbacombe. Excellent beach though don't drive down there. You'll need a new clutch. Very steep and narrow road. If you meet someone it's difficult to pass. Good restaurants and a quieter area to stay but convenient for the sights of Torquay, Paignton, Dartmouth and beyond.

We were staying in torquay for our holiday and decided to visit babbacombe. We thought it was absolutely lovely with beautiful views. We had a meal in a pub over looking the sea. We decided to come back the next day when we had more time to go on the beach. My partner and two kids went in the sea... More

We went here expecting things to do (like the other towns near by) but were shocked to find the model village appeared to be the only thing there and at £11 per person we decided against visiting. The views are amazing, some of the best views I've seen (shame the weather wasn't better!) Ate at a lovely pub along the... More

Heard great things about Babbacombe so we ventured up there from Torquay. Had a decent walk along the cliff & admired the views & then went on the funicular down to the beach. Kids loved the journey on the cliff railway but that's where it ended. Beach is really rocky & narrow, & has large concrete steps down to it.... More
