This is a small station and not many staff on, nothing to clear either for ways of maybe getting hold of a taxi, its a free for all outside the station.

Surprisingly, throughout all my years of going too Torquay for a holiday I had never visited the train station. We only went for a drink at the cafe, and chose the station because we believed it offered some great British history, and made a change from Costa coffee. However, I felt the price of the drinks was a bit pricey,... More

Torquay Railway station,is one of those old fashioned railway stations which to me,look like it had been built during the Victorian era.AS another TripAdvisor reviewer has point out,two main tracks does separate the two main platforms. The first platform is mainly use for incoming trains and the second platform for outgoing trains. To get onto the second platform you have to... More

Torquay's station has a lot of charm and remains mainly unchanged from that bygone era,Two tracks separate the two platforms,One incoming and one outgoing. It's easy to imagine how many famous people may have used this station to get to Torquay at the turn of the century.

An inexpensive way of seeing the coastline, stunning views and shopping in Exeter too boot. Hassle free and totally relaxing, even the kids will love it.

I spent 2 days in Torquay and travelled from and to Paddingdon, found the station a bit of a let down for the town. Whatever you do, don't use the toilets or have a hot drink from the cafe !!!

This station is fine as things go being clean, having toilets and places to sit however every time I have been the cafe has been closed which is frustrating as I would love to be able to buy a coffee and / or sandwich before travelling.

I think this is just the usual small railway station about a block from the seaside. It is a long walk into the centre, but a nice walk.

I was in Devon on my motorbike and it had become very windy so a trip on the Steam train to KIngswear was in order. I bought the combined ticket with the ferry to Dartmouth. The view along the coast was great and then I spent a couple of hours exploring Dartmouth before catching a later train hime.
