Station at the edge of town makes it handy for Torquay.

Handy location at the edge of town and easy to reach from anywhere in the country. The decoration is to make it what it is quaint and Victorian and it works.

A beautiful station. Just recently painted in red, green and white. All the Victorian features look stunning. Had to pay to park but at £4 for the day it compares well with Derby where it is £13 for the day.

I arrived in Torquay on a summers day last year and the view from the station is amazing!! Quite stunning. The station itself is undergoing lengthy restoration but will be worth it

I love this station it is kind of sleepy and old fashioned with its painted gables of red and green. There are always flowers on display and it is just a non hassle railway station.

You can often get a steam train from this old station or one of the main rail services which can connect you to the rest of the country. In days of old I'm sure this was heaving with families arriving for their summer holidays.

Torquay Railway Station is an old fashioned Station and we took the Steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which gave us the experience of steam rushing past the windows. The seating is old fashioned however very comfortable and we enjoyed the experience again when we travelled back to Torquay

well, it has Class 43 Diesel HST's - and they're great machines! Typical seaside town railway station - stays in your affections.

Being disabled you have to report to the station 20mins prior to departure then have to get a taxi all the way round to the opposite side of the track! However on a lighter note the staff are very helpful in the booking office in there.

Nice station, helpful staff. The lady told me which platform I needed and was kind and considerate. She pointed out where to go and was generally very pleasant and helpful.
