Not very close to the town. But nice walk to it in good weather. If its bad weather you may need a taxi outside of the station. Toilets are never open and never any staff around 6. Needs a bit of make over looking a bit old. At the end of the day its a train station. There are benches,... More

Best bet if going to Newton Abbot or Exeter, about £7 single and is very much faster than the bus. Frequent trains, so not long to wait. Not too handy for centre of town, especially if you have luggage, so a taxi may be needed, or get a bus outside the station on the main road. Do not know what... More

Used Paignton to travel to Dawlish. Nice old station, which appears to be having done refurb done. Didn't realise it was the end of the line for the majority of services that use it. Staff helpful when purchasing tickets. Lovely stretch of line to Dawlish, particularly the coast parts. Station well situated, within easy walking distances of town, shops and... More

The station buildings have changed very little on the outside since it opened in the 19th century and has a old-fashioned feel about the place. There is an excellent café on the arrivals platform where the booking office can also be found. The taxi rank is also located via the booking hall to the right as you leave the station... More

A large airy and clean station with good facilities. Staff are on duty most of the day and are helpful in assisting with travel arrangements and any queries. The toilets have been modernised. A cafe is available for refreshments. Plenty of taxi's if you need one.

This is a small station and not many staff on, nothing to clear either for ways of maybe getting hold of a taxi, its a free for all outside the station.

Torquay Railway station,is one of those old fashioned railway stations which to me,look like it had been built during the Victorian era.AS another TripAdvisor reviewer has point out,two main tracks does separate the two main platforms. The first platform is mainly use for incoming trains and the second platform for outgoing trains. To get onto the second platform you have to... More

Torquay's station has a lot of charm and remains mainly unchanged from that bygone era,Two tracks separate the two platforms,One incoming and one outgoing. It's easy to imagine how many famous people may have used this station to get to Torquay at the turn of the century.

An inexpensive way of seeing the coastline, stunning views and shopping in Exeter too boot. Hassle free and totally relaxing, even the kids will love it.
