The reason we selected Torquay was because my wife is a big Agatha Christie fan so therefore a visit to the museum to see the set furniture from the Poirot series was a must. I have to say that the rest of the museum is also well laid out with some good exhibits and well worth a visit. There is... More

The museum is situated about a five minute walk from the centre of Torquay, and is a fascinating place to while away a few hours. It's good value too, as if you pick up a Visitors' Passport booklet from either the Tourist Information centre, or your hotel, there's a 15% discount off the entry fee. In addition, if you keep... We walked right past the museum , assuming it was part of the church it was next too , but having found it we were very impressed and also saddened by the fact that it may have to close . There was a very interesting agatha christie section , though ,if the museum gets it's reprieve I think they could... More

There is so much to see in this museum. Better than your average town museum with excellent up to date displays. Always something new to see with regular special displays. The staff are really helpful too and you could also join the friends of the museum and get involved!

Sent a few hours wandering around the displays. The Museum is well laid out and flows very well. For me the highlight was the explorers exhibition which is great. I also liked the devon farm house which is nice trip back in time.

Lovely little museum , great price, great displays and interactive parts. But it was disjointed. It didnt flow. There was far too much generic history and not enough of torquays particular history, I came away knowing no more of how torquay was 100 years ago than I did when I went in! Though I read very interesting things about rocks,... More

Very informative. Arrived at 3.15 in the afternoon so we were too late to see around the whole museum but will be back for another visit.
