just walked the section going from the NT carpark at Warren Cove round to Noss Mayo in Devon. The path is extraordinary wide and well maintained due to an historic owner of the land widening it for his carriage. The views are spectacular and ideally suited to rambling. There is a brilliant circular walk that is only about 5 miles(including... More

Not sure why the path was closed earlier in May as on 20 May I walked from Thurlestone to Salcombe and it was all fine. Part of the path at South Milton has been re-routed and its only a very minor diversion and works well. At Hope Cove a new bridge has been constructed which again is fine. A fabulous... More

Breathtaking scenery, wonderful smell of gorse and bluebell. Wild ponies grazing along the cliff top. Colours of bright yellow, blue and green. Winding paths along the cliff edge and very steep in places with many climbs and decents. Lots of surprises along the way including woodland and heritage sites. I will definitely do this again.

Ideal for any hiker from the novice to the most experienced (the website provides information of the various trails from the easiest to most difficult), the South West Coast Path takes one through magnificent and breathtaking scenery all along the Cornish coast. This particular walk we did began at Kynance Cove and did not disappoint . As it took us... More

Have half a day to spare whilst in Paignton? Try walking 6 miles along beach fronts, up and down hills and through woods from Paignton to Brixham along the South West Coastal Path (very well signposted). Need a bit of stamina though! In Brixham, get a cream tea to put back on the weight you just lost! And then get... More

We were staying in the South Hams district, a beautiful area of Devon just below Dartmoor in the old coastguards cottages at East Prawle. An isolated location and right on the South West Coastal Path. Lovely to walk beside a crashing sea, and climb extremely steep paths to swim in very cool water which was almost crystal clear. Certainly when... More

I'm probably stating the obvious here, but go when the weather is reasonable / visibility is good. We walked from Polpeath beach to the end of Carlyon bay and back, taking in Castletown on the way It was very Misty / damp The beaches are nice, but in between there was nothing to see - felt like a bit of...
