I walked from St. Ives to Penzance in June 2015. I should have managed about 65 km but the path turned out to be much more tiring than I had assumed as I do not walk long distances a lot. Especially the bit from St. Ives to Pennor was strenuous as you were constantly going up or down. A company... More

This is THE great UK walk - don't miss the difficult to get to bits, as they are the most spectacular & also, usually, the least busy. It too us 6 years to finish the SWCP, but it was a great experience & we saw so much.

My wide and I have walked almost every section of the Devon and Cornwall coastal footpath over the recent years. It is therapeutic and so enjoyable. I recommend Viewranger software, it is easy to install in your phone and not expensive. It continuously shows exactly where you are which helps with some route decisions. We use it in the Lake... This 600 mile long path follows the entire coast ofSW England. Well way marked, and ranging from easy to very strenuous to walk, it will suite most walkers from the casual to the serious. Many points are easy to get to by car, but a short walk will soon get you away from the crowds!

just walked the section going from the NT carpark at Warren Cove round to Noss Mayo in Devon. The path is extraordinary wide and well maintained due to an historic owner of the land widening it for his carriage. The views are spectacular and ideally suited to rambling. There is a brilliant circular walk that is only about 5 miles(including... More

Not sure why the path was closed earlier in May as on 20 May I walked from Thurlestone to Salcombe and it was all fine. Part of the path at South Milton has been re-routed and its only a very minor diversion and works well. At Hope Cove a new bridge has been constructed which again is fine. A fabulous... More
