We did the £7 tour took about 40 minutes but found it really interesting and learnt lots about the spices etc and enjoyed our samples. Even better you get a voucher for a free gin and tonic or miniature bottle to take home. Great value highly recommended but must book.

We all know the Gin is definitely up there with the very best, the building is well worth a visit too. We did the 40minute tour - really interesting. The Refractory is a beautiful cocktail bar & the super-friendly staff will take the time to recommend something to your tastes if you're not sure what to choose! Has to be... More

Truly great fun! We were part of a tour of nine, and had a fabulous guide - Pippa - who brought everything to life with her knowledge, enthusiasm and engaging personality! We had fun learning, better fun drinking (as the Masters Tour has 5 large samples to try), and tremendous fun making our own gin, as it turned into the... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. He's not a gin drinker normally but found it fascinating. The tour guide (pippa) was really knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the product. We would definitely recommend it. We had limited time available so it was great we could choose to take home a miniature at the end of the tour rather... More

Wow, what a great tour for all you gin swillers, great location in the Barbican, a very educational tour with the opportunity to sample some afterwards in their private members bar. Excellent shop as well.

Having not known much about the gin making process before, the tour provides a great background to the whole process. The history of the distillery is fascinating. I particularly liked the reasoning behind the 'Navy Strength' gin. Our tour guide provided an excellent and very informative tour along with answering many questions that were asked! After the tour you are... More

I visited the cocktail bar upstairs and enjoyed a couple of Gin specials served by the most interesting two young people. Sadly didn't get there names but the young girls was so passionate about the Plymouth Gin story I couldn't help but be captivated and the lad (who only started a few weeks earlier) was very knowledgable and described everything... A very informative tour and interesting trip. Well worth a visit if you are staying in or near to plymouth. Never really thought about the origins before now, but now much better informed and G&T in the bar afterwards (part of the tour cost) was fantastic. I would recommend booking in advance as they can gat very busy.

Had the tour as part of my 50th birthday present and really enjoyed it. We were the only people taking the tour so felt very personalised. Charlie the guide was friendly , knowledgeable and gave a great tour. The history and production of the Gin was enjoyable and we learnt a lot. It was a shame that the Gin was... More
