This place is worth a visit just to learn the interesting history and the skill that goes into gin making! (but do ensure there are spaces on the tour time you choose - it's possible to book a tour in advance). I really don't want to say a lot more apart from the character of the building is beautiful in... More

An enjoyable afternoon spent learning about the history of the distillery, how the gin is made, what botanicals make it Plymouth gin....etc...staff were lovely, although front of house(in the shop. Initially was aloof and a bit off putting) but was actually quite chatty! Went for lunch in the tanners restuarant...fab food, great service and although seems a little pricey, was... More

For 20£ you can see how their gin is made & have a G&T. Interesting way to spend an hour...if you like Martinis try one made with Plymouth's "Naval Strength" gin

I just loved ghe history of this place the walls just ooze history of everyone who has passed through the door. This is well worth a visit especially to the cocktail bar where some of the Pilgrim Fathers stayed the night before they sailed on Mayflower. Cocktails are fab too!

A cost of £7 gets you a 40 minute over view of the history, and how Plymouth gin is made tour which I found very informative. This was then followed with an inclusive G & T in the bar. I could not resist the temptation then to purchase a bottle. This visit is a must on a trip to Plymouth.

Inexpensive entry (£7 Oct 2015) & free for kids gave us a fabulous potted history of gin production (& consumption) in Plymouth, how it's made, & beautiful bar in which to savour a freebie afterwards. I'm not a regular gin lover, but the sloe gin is fantastic! Shame we weren't allowed to take photos. Really enjoyed the recipe bit, and... More

Spur of the moment visit. Lovely building and informative guide. I really enjoyed the 'hands on' talk on all the botanicals which go into the finished product.

A beautiful room with a stylish long bar with a friendly cocktail waiter on the evening we went there. Had six different cocktails in our group of three – and enjoyed all of them! The squashy sofas were cool to sit in with the ancient wooden ceiling beams making the place very atmospheric.
