Used the ferry for a holiday in France (what else) Kids were allowed to run riot all over the ship. The supposedly quiet room was noisy due to young children been allowed in. The food was overpriced (shocker) and not served hot. Perhaps its our own fault for going during the school holidays. Next time we will pay for a... More

I've travelled with Brittany ferries several times in my life; as a child with my parents in the 90's to and from the channel islands, later as a meandering traveller in Europe. This weekend I travelled from Portsmouth to St. Malo and back again as part of a deal with La Route du Rock music festival (£150 for the festival... More

Both good ships (mont st michel slightly better). Great staff on board and the ships are well kept and clean. Comfortable cabins, a bit on the small side but what do you expect on a ship? Overall an enjoyable crossing with Brittany Ferries and would sail with them again!

Fantastic crossing to France and back. Brittany Ferries' staff always professional and courteous. Lovely ship, the Armorique is among the best out there. I see some people complain about a rough crossing as if it's BF's fault?! We were lucky to have a nice calm one even though I've been on quite a few rough ones in the past! Will... More

The ferry was busy but then this was to be expected as it was one the high traffic weekends to travel. We had booked a cabin for our Portsmouth/Caen crossings so crowds weren't an issue save food/drink requirements. The till system on the cafe needs addressing, the staff were great but the system is soooo slow. The breakfast buffet was great and... More

It was our first experience on Brittany Ferries, travelling to and from France for a family holiday. The overnight trip to St Malo went without a hitch. We watched a family film in the cinema and then straight to bed in our cabin. There was a queue at reception hoping for cabin cancellations, so book early. Returning from France, we... More

Booked an over night on the Mont St Michel to Caen for my family . No cabins were available but spent more to get 4 "reserved reclining" seats to sleep. First faux pas was the long wait to get on while staff tried to find a ticket zapper that worked. Got on finally and went yo our reserved salon which... More

Made a journey from Bilbao to Portsmouth with car, and managed to book a "club class" cabin for the journey. Found the cabin a big improvement from the usual accommodation. More like a hotel room, vs. the dormitory style of the regular cabins. We were on Cap Finisterre boat, with French crew. Staff were pleasant, helpful & spoke good English.... More

Quiberon was lovely as a ship, a bit scruffy and old fashioned but it had a first class restaurant and bags of character. Armorique is a vast floating bus, it is meant to move as many people as possible as fast as possible which it does very well, but it feels like a low market chain hotel, has a plastic... More

We took the ferry from Plymouth to Santander on our departure and returned via Portsmouth. I was expecting to be quite bored but, to my pleasant surprise, there was no shortage of things to do. We had a great time relaxing and having drinks at the bar overlooking French waters, walking around the deck and exploring the facilities. The duty... More
