Just back from a trip to Northern Spain on the Pont-Avon, whilst I am not easily impressed by anything! This ship did impress me and my wife it was fantastically clean during the whole of the journey and although the cabins were all full nowhere on board felt crowded, the sailings were both very smooth and the inside cabin spotless... more

Took the overnight crossing outbound to Roscoff and daytime return on this relatively new ferry. It was smaller than expected but reasonably well thought out. As previously mentioned the only downside is the lack of dining restaurant but the self service was good. The bar however had a strange atmosphere and felt like an english pub in a holiday resort... more

My family took the Pont Aven as an end to our driving holiday. Overall, we were impressed with ths ship. It was well maintained, and there was pleanty to do. Despite being at high season, it was not crowded. For an overnight crossing, it is advisable to book a cabin. We went for a deluxe, which despite being expensive for... more

A new ship so not surprisingly the inside two-berth en-suite cabin, on the eighth floor, was in good condition. 'Snug' rather than roomy but not a problem. Impressive shower pressure. Catering OK, neither expensive or cheap. Well done, BF. more

We sailed from Plymouth on the Pont-A-Ven. although this was advertised as a mini cruise it was really a ferry trip on... more

As local to Plymouth the Brittany Ferries have been an excellent convenience for several decades, steadily improving in size comfort and convenience, especially for cheap out of season 'booze cruises' and the perfect start to a continental driving holiday. One of the joys of the short out and back weekend trips was the excellent dining rooms and in particular on... more

I'm in shock! the fast ferry service from Portsmouth to Caen and Cherbourg to Portsmouth was a godsend in terms of time saving and convenience but be warned; go during school holidays at your peril!. This floating creche is hell for those that prefer the quiet areas of some older traditional ferries. There is little if anything for the 'little... more

We travelled on the Pont L'Abbee from Plymouth to Roscoff & back. The first trip was an overnight crossing and we had a cabin. Beds were very small and the pillows smelt revolting! The worst thing was that every time the ship lurched to to one side there was an incredibly loud creaking which made it almost impossible to sleep.... more
