We have never travelled Brittany Ferries before - but were disappointed that on both legs to and from France the ferry was late. I wasnt impressed by the dirty tables and lack of seating especially as hordes of feral school kids were running amok in several "quiet" lounges. The exchange rate is to be queried - thought it would be... More

I have travelled regularly with BF, usually on Pont Aven, the flagship, the Bretagne last night was OK apart from a few niggles, but only with the accommodation. The food, beverage service and entertainment 100% but to have packet shampoo (you can't open) in the cabins and then shower too hot to shower, when departing the ship in St Malo... More

Pont Aven. Travelled last Thurs. Plymouth/Roscoff. Commodore class full so decided to try a deluxe cabin. It was very cramped and far too expensive compared to better value Commodore class. The ship itself is first class but the set dinner was a disgrace. The starter was a violent clash of colour and flavour. What chef would think smoked salmon (... More

We have travelled with Brittany Ferries for 36 years, our first visit was our Honeymoon! Occasionally we have missed a year but sometimes we have travelled twice a year and each time our holiday in France has started as we stepped on board. We have always felt safe and looked after, particularly now that I have a mobility difficulty, the... More

Tavelled last Thursday on 26hr crossing from Bilbao to Portsmouth & instead of enjoyable & relaxing as the previous crossing was in Jan 2015 on Portsmouth to Santander route again with Brittany, as we always get a pet friendly cabin with our 2 well behaved dogs, the Jan trip was great,, loading was straight forward, we then muzzled our dogs... My wife and I have used the best of the Brittany Ferries fleet Pont Aven on many occasions over the last several years. The crossing can be smooth or incredibly rough in the Bay of Biscay, and to a degree that determines for most people the experience. If not adversely affected by the sea state, then the 24 hour crossing... More

Quite a good overall experience, we booked lounge seats for a small fee, but actually this was not necessary, as they were plenty of spaces, the crossing went according to plan, and even though the weather was a bit rough, the sailing was uneventful, but boring. This company are great at keeping you informed via text and mobile so keep... More

My family and I recently returned from a return Porthsmouth to Santander crossing. We had an excellent crossing going over and ate in the Restaurant du Port. The food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the choice of kids meals. After dinner the children's entertainment started and I have to say that it is excellent. They take a keen... More

We travelled on the Cap Finistere in May 2015 and will certainly take this route to Spain again. Just hope we can command such a benign crossing. We had an outside cabin with en suite and this was ideal. Didn't eat in the restaurant because we're at the end of the queue and didn't fancy a really late sitting. Instead... More

Dear ‘Barrie N’, I’m pleased to read how you enjoyed your sailing on board Cap Finistère. It sounds like you had a lovely relaxing time. I’m sorry to hear that your wife had difficulty exiting your car, if do you have any concerns when parking in the garage, please let a member of crew know and they will do their... More

Portsmouth crossings. As we go into the high season....The prices become exorbitant and the standard of cuisine plummets. Take my advice....on the longer crossings as a couple it's easy to fritter £50 plus on catering and refreshments for reheated fried food....or grey non descipt meat and gritty salads.....They haven't washed the greens properly. Far easier healthier and cheaper to go... More
