We travelled from Plymouth to Santander, as part of a holiday, and overall this was a great success. The loading and unloading was efficient, our cabin (outside 4 berth) was very clean and we enjoyed exploring the facilities. A few negatives though; none of us enjoyed the cooked breakfast and opted for cereal & pasties on the way home, as... More

Have travelled on Bretagne for the last 5 years and it never disappoints. Yes she maybe the oldest in the fleet but is always special to sail on her. The overnight crossing to Saint Malo really gets the holiday off to a great start, although we have travelled on other ships in the fleet this is the one for us.... More

My husband and I travelled on the ferry from Plymouth to Santander earlier this summer. The check-in process was easy and staff friendly. Once on board, the staff there too were helpful. The restaurant was excellent and a great start to the holiday.

Horrible - we will never travel by ferry again. It cost over four times as much to take the ferry as the Tunnel but we decided to try it, mainly to cut down our drive on the return leg. What a joke. The ferry was dirty, cabin very run down and shabby and everywhere inside was so hot. The loading/unloading... More

We recently travelled from Portsmouth to Caen (return). Embarkation and disembarkation were seamless on both crossings - so stress-free compared to air travel. We chose the early morning crossing from Portsmouth and had a cabin, which was worth every penny as the ship was fairly busy with young children. We returned on the early morning crossing from Caen 27.08.15 and,... More

I highly recommend the quality of customer care we received and would happily use Brittany Ferries each time we sail to the continent in the future. We experienced a hassle-free journey from Portsmouth to Bilbao at the beginning of August. It wasn't until a few days later that we realised we'd left our camera in the cabin. We contacted the... We recently traveled from Portsmouth to St Malo. We have never traveled on an over night ferry so a little apprehensive. I can honestly say it was great. We booked a cabin. We had traveled from the north east, so had had a long journey. We just wanted to get our heads down and lay out. The cabin was clean... More

The Brittany Ferry terminals are huge, especially the one at Portsmouth. But there is nothing for kids to play on or with, no soft play area, nothing. There are often enormous TVs showing ads for Brittany Ferries - by the time we see those we have already bought our tickets, so adverts are surplus to requirements. Why couldn't we have... More
