Use this route many times. I park at Coypool and cycle from there. Slight incline all the way to Goodameavy. Passing through trees and over viaducts, also through a tunnel.

Started at the Plymouth park and ride at Coypool (free parking) - there is a bike hire shop here if you haven't your own - and followed the route which is very well signposted to Clearbrook (though it does go all the way to Tavistock) .To get to Clearbrook, with its lovely pub, you will need to take a right... Cycled this trail at the end of our coast to Coast journey. Stunning views, well maintained track. Was down hill all the way to Plymouth!

Cycle off road on a disused railway track from Plymouth UK to Clearbrook and on to North Devon if you are really keen. Currently ( July 2014) the last stretch into Clearbrook is being finished and the diversion is via a fairly steep minor road. Once the Clearbrook ramp is done it will be a much more pleasant ride into... More

It is a cracking ride that can take you all the way to the edge of the moor and beyond. I had a cracking ride yesterday but was constantly looked at with distain by pedestrians who clearly were not aware it's a national cycle path. I had some even walk to block the path to make me wait to pass... More

on a sunny day we decided to have our 1st of the year bike ride. did about 20 miles and felt sorry for myself for another few days! the trail is fab, lots of room for cyclists, walkers and joggers. Peaceful and calm with plenty of places to have a picnic. The are some spots where you can get a... More

We did this trail with a buggy trailer and a tag along. We started at bnq roundabout to miss out on busy roads. The pathis gentle incline uphill all the way - hard going after a few miles for novice riders but the views are amazing. The pub at the end - nice cold cider, that then sold out so... More

We would thoroughly recommend this cycle ride, especially for those who may not be that experienced. Being built along the old railway line there are no steep inclines, just a gradual push uphill (& much easier on the way back down again). Wonderful scenery & at this time of year (May) all the trees coming into leaf & plenty of... More

Having run, walked and cycled this route I can recommend it for all 3. There are peregrine falcons to see and possibly the odd deer. From the viaducts you get stunning views of the plym valley and you can head to the moor if you fancy a long ride. There is even a huge tunnel further up the trail. It... More
