This trail has been upgraded to a super tarmac track, ideal for all ages and types of bicycles. It is almost flat and has many interesting features, such as wood or metal carvings and the viaduct to hold one's interest. There are spectacular views across the countryside or down to the river, with plenty of wildlife around at quiet times.... More

Great to get up on to the moors or just for a quick spin! Worth starting at marsh mills if you have children as the route from the centre of Plymouth isn't great at all (you have to cross some very busy roads).

This is a pretty easy cycle ride that even kids can manage, plenty of places to stop and lovely scenery. If you have a bike, it doesn't even cost anything. Great way to enjoy some fresh air and family time. If you don't have a bike you can rent from car park at start.

Me and my partner went for a bike ride here last week. It was lovely and quiet with plently of places to stop and have lunch. The trail was mainly flat and well maintained, there are also various other routes you can take if you want to go more "off road". We spent nearly 5 hours on the trail and... More

Whilst visiting extended family this past Dec, I had a few opportunities to explore this path, both for running and cycling. As a cyclist in Ontario, Canada (especially in snowy Dec), I relished the milder temperatures and marvelled at the greenness of the ancient woodland so unique and unspoiled. The path was well marked and trails were ideal for even... More

The cycle path here is on an old railway line so is really very easy for young ones and those who maybe arent as fit and skinny as they used rto be (mums of 3 like me lol) to cycle on. There is a lovely old viaduct you go over and the views of Dartmoor are lovely. This is a... More

I have cycled this route many times, from Coypool to Clearbrook. Easy ride, especially on the way back and since the final part of the route has been completed it makes a much easier route to Clearbrook.

Beautiful landscapes and a gentle rolling uphill route to the edges of Dartmoor. Great long route along an old disused railway line. Keep going over many high bridges to the tunnel near the end. (Now lit inside!! Thank goodness) It is the best cycle route in the Plymouth area and good for any fitness level and children. Quicker going back... More

If you are visiting Plymouth and you havent been to the barbican, it is a must. There are some lovely little one of a kind type shops and some nice resturants and bars. Also, if you have time for exploring there is a beautiful walk around the Elizabethan gardens which you will have to put on your explorer hat and... More
