This is a beautiful family cycle ride especially in the autumn when the colours are fantastic. Peering over the viaducts and seeing the trail climbing gently is lovely. Great place to dog walk too.

A great place to get a bit of exercise, either by wlking or by cycling. It can be a bit muddy, but if you avoid the mud, you should have a great time. Very good for kids, as it gets them away from the telly and the computer!

the ramp has at long last been sorted, no more steep rocky surface, now theres a tarmac track approx 1 in 20, mobility scooters/wheelchairs can now use it as can youngsters and parents towing trailors.

Although this is a "cycle trail" it is also possible to walk along just keep an eye out for the cyclists! An autumn walk with two small children was perfect as didn't have to worry about cars! Trees changing colour, leaves being collected by the kids and exploring in the woods made a good active afternoon . All for free!!

Great cycle trail. A wooded area with plenty of parking and a good tarmac path to follow. There is a pub, the Skylark at the far end where you can have a refreshing drink before cycling back

Hadn't cycled this route for about 10 years.....unrecognisable now. Beautiful ride perfect for all the family. We parked on the road near B&Q. It's a gentle uphill gradient from there but our 8 and 4 year old found it easy going. Great to be easier on the leg for the little ones on the way back. As others mentioned a... More

This is an excellent cycle trail which takes you a long way up on to the moor with an imperceptible gradient along the route and track bed of the old railway until you chose if you want to leave at Goodameavy and then take the steep road up towards Clearbrook. It would involve a lot of work but it would... More

An excellent cycle trail which is very well maintained and goes for miles through the woods. A great day out.

Use this route many times. I park at Coypool and cycle from there. Slight incline all the way to Goodameavy. Passing through trees and over viaducts, also through a tunnel.

Started at the Plymouth park and ride at Coypool (free parking) - there is a bike hire shop here if you haven't your own - and followed the route which is very well signposted to Clearbrook (though it does go all the way to Tavistock) .To get to Clearbrook, with its lovely pub, you will need to take a right...
