What a view! Amazing - quite quick so even if you don't like heights - as long as not a passer out - give it a go - you can always walk back down. Great bit of engineering - my son loved it and I could not help fall in love with the view to Lynmouth

You will not regret visiting such a great site! The views are out of this world and the engineering iis second to none. If you're looking for an adventure, this is it! Only thing I would suggest is for the railway operator to give a touch of history either prior to going up or down the railway.

The Cliff Railway is a wonderful shining light of what amazing feats our Victorian forefathers overcame and achieved in engineering. Totally water powered, the save the planet clan would be majorly impressed with this construction. I wonder what constructions that would be completed today will still be in such amazing condition and totally operational in 120 years from now. This... More

Interesting way to travel between the towns with good views whilst on board. Reasonable price for return tickets.

This wonderful piece of Victorian engineering, water powered, has been operating for over 120 years and climbs an impressive 800 feet from Lynmouth to Lynton. Fabulous views of the coast. £7 return is resonable, given the historic nature of the railway, although the separate charges for pushchairs and dogs could annoy some people.

Wow what a brilliant experience, we walk down from Lynton and were so pleased to have this fantastic machine to take us back up that awful cliff. This machine saved me from becoming a single chap! Thank you

Lovely place, difficult to access with poor mobility. No beach, only rocks so not a seaside town. Lovely cafes and shops and stunning scenery

Visited Lynton and Lynmouth for a leisurely day out. A really relaxing day out with quaint seaside shops and cafes with amazing views from the water run carraige that takes you down the hill from Lynton to Lynmouth. Highly recommend this place for a lovely relaxing chilled day out.
