There are some lovely walks and stunning views to enjoy along this winding drive along cliff tops and through deep wooded combes of west Exmoor. The 21 Mile Drive around Little Switzerland goes through the Heddon valley, Woody Bay, and Valley Of Rocks on the western leg and Watersmeet and Brendon Valley on the eastern leg, the figure of eight... more

Narrow lanes twisting and turning along the cliff edge, deeply wood valleys, dashing streams, glorious views, small villages and tiny hamlets, welcoming pubs and tearooms. Just a great afternoon's drive. more

Lanes winding along cliff tops and down through wooded valleys, we spent a really lazy afternoon driving around this spectacular figure of 8 tour. We parked up occassionally to take a short walk or two or have a cream tea and take some photos. The drive takes in the beautiful Heddon Valley down to Hunters In and along the coast... more

This splendid drive along the Exmoor coastline shows how remote this part of the English Coast is. It's one of the most inaccessible in Britain but this 21 mile scenic drive takes you down some really beautiful heavily wooded lanes in the Heddon Valley that you would not normally find. Along the cliff edge, Woody Bay, Lee Bay, then he... more

This 21 Mile Drive takes in the best that this part of Exmoor has to offer. The tour takes you in a figure of 8 loop around Liitle Switzerland much of it along winding single track roads and narrow lanes, along clifftops and down steep wooded valleys passing through tiny hamlets and villages. On a sunny Autumnal day we had... more

The 21 Mile Drive is a lovely figure-of-eight scenic tour which takes in the best of what the Victorians called ‘Little Switzerland’. En-route we visited the Lynton to Barnstaple narrow gauge railway, Heddon Valley(NT) and Hunters’ Inn where we walked down to an old smugglers cove at Heddon’s Mouth. We drove on to Woody Bay and Lee Bay along single... more

A lovely figure of eight drive, we started off in Lynmouth, stopped off at the Lynton to Barnstple narrow gauge railway at Woody Bay Station to have a look a round and then on the Hunters Inn and the beautiful Heddon Valley. We had a coffee in the pub and walked down to Heddons Mouth, a small smugglers cove. Back... more

Narrow lanes winding through woods along clifftops and running deep through valley bottoms alongside fast flowing rivers, this 21 mile scenic drive is really well worth doing. We stopped a few times to do some short walks, at Heddons Mouth, Watersmeet and Foreland Point and took lots of photographs. Glorious scenery making it a truly memorable afternoon drive. more

The 21 Mile Drive is a 'scenic' figure of eight drive around the beautiful 'Little Switzerland' area of Exmoor National Park. The route yakes in Lynton & Lynmouth, the Heddon and Brendon Valleys, Woody Bay, Valley Of Rocks and Watersmeet. A breathtakingly dramatic drive along cliff edges and through deep valleys with some lovely walks and stunning vistas to enjoy... more

The drive was so beautiful, my husband and I did the 21 mile drive late last October and as keen photographers, one of our main goals while on Exmoor was to experience the stunning dramatic coastline and scenery. We were not disappointed, we managed to take lots of great pictures, Heddon Valley and the short walk down to the smugglers... more
