Sadly you can only walk around the outside of Exeter Castle as the inner part is now privately owned and used for functions. However the castle walls and gardens are well worth a stroll and keep your eye out for the interesting plaques and the statues in the Garden. A shame that the Castle is only a ruin now as... More

We went for a little walk around the castle ruins and it was really peaceful and beautiful. There were lots of birds and squirrels and great set of flowers. Worth visiting.

My son got married here and it was a fantastic venue. Easy reach of Exeter town for guests and the different rooms they had use of we're brilliant. The building was lovely and the quirky toilets that used to be jail cells were a real talking point. Highly recommended.

As you approach the Castle from Castle St, take a moment to read the memorial plaque to the Bideford "Witches", temperance Lloyd, Susannah Edwards, and Mary Trembles, the last 3 victims of King James I, who were tried in the Castle and hanged in Heavitree in 1682. The Caste, originally built as a roman fortress, was the scene of many... More

Just off the main shopping street called High Street. Turn into Cadtle street and you'll see it at the top of the slope. Just a ruin, not much to see. You can do the city wall tour that ajoins the castle.

The site is very interesting and also there is a plaque to commemorate the last witches who were hanged in Exeter. The gate is very interesting in as much as it was built by the Romans using Saxon builders.

The Cold Play Concert in support of Mencap, was fantastic, a super group playing in the majesty of a Castle. The best concert ever.

I recently attended a corporate drinks and canapes party in the beautiful Terrace Court Rooms. We were met by friendly girls handing out an abundance of delicious nibbles and the champagne was flowing. The venue was grand and perfect for our event. Im going to recommend it as a wedding venue to my friends. Thank you
