2 x tickets for £15 if ordered in advance entrance fee, is great value for money for a Sunday out in February at the races, billed as a family day, but we went as a couple and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, getting in and out of the course by car was made simple by the stewards. Thankfully the weather was... More

we were in the area to visit the race course, we are trying to visit all the race courses in the uk. we take a short break and try to get 2/3 meetings in the break. So far we have done around 50%. There were not enough seating indoors out of the cold, not a welcoming course!

The weather was not good, and it was very busy, we enjoyed the racing, but were dissapointed that having paid extra for the premier stand there was no evidence of badges being checked and it was very crowded, and we felt cheated that we had paid extra for no benefit. Otherwise the facilities and buildings are good and well cared... More

New Year's Day racing should be an enjoyable day out. Indeed two years ago it was. But this time it was a most disappointing experience. Traffic management on arriving was non- existent and potentially very dangerous as two lanes tried to merge into one on A38. Racecourse lane should have been coned off to prevent blocking second lane; through traffic... More

went to the races new years day, like so many missed the 1st race due to the slowness at the admission gate, no one seemed to be in a hurry to get the queue reduced, the stands need a good overhall its like cattle sheds and they do no how to charge, £4.40 for a chicken and mushroom pie, it just... we were at the Exeter gold cup day. The hospitality shown by all the staff was first class, the whole day was a pleasure for us made by the attitude of all the people who work at the course. It makes a change in this day and age for people to take the time to be pleasant and very professional... More

Went here for a birthday celebration. We went for the Desert Orchid restaurant package so had the table for the afternoon. Good food, friendly service, great view of the finishing line and close to the betting ring and parade ring. It was busy in the restaurant which created a nice buzz. A lovely experience.

Booked into the desert orchid restaurant and on arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our table for the day.The staff were all very pleasant and very smartly turned out.The young gentleman who was looking after us started by explaining the general layout of the building even to the extent of where the toilets were situated. The food was exceptional,and... Exeter is the highest (and 2nd longest I believe) racecourse in England. Free buses to the races run from Exeter St Davids railway station and also from the bus station in Exeter's town centre. I would recommend the Haldon Premier area or the restaurant (pre-booking required). They are more expensive but are, in my opionion, they are well worth it.... More

Returned from a wonderful day at Exeter racecourse. We have specific needs what with a wheelchair and oxygen, however the staff from start to finish were exceptional with specific thanks to Jade. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the Desert Orchid resturant, which provided panoramic views of the beautiful racecourse from a dry warm site for the afternoon. Lift is... More
