Live music & a mature crowd

For a night out of live music Mama Stones is well worth the visit. The crowds are more on the mature side and if like me find the concept of nightclubs too much its fantastic to... read more

portrays itself as being hip and happening but is just another over-priced dive. Live music is of poor quality.

Was looking forward to a lovely evening with friends. Wha a dirty shambles!! It must be the dirtiest place I've been too. Toilets were disgusting, glasses were dirty. Staff didn't care one little bit. Defiantly will never go again or recommend it to anyone. Whole place needs sorting out!!!!!

Such a shame to see a venue like this looking so tired and dirty! Absolutely no excuse for filth, used to be a fantastic venue, I wonder what has gone so dreadfully wrong!

For a night out of live music Mama Stones is well worth the visit. The crowds are more on the mature side and if like me find the concept of nightclubs too much its fantastic to spend an evening with people of a similar view point. Drink prices are reasonable and though I have yet to sample the food, it... More

Start spending some money on this place. It's filthy. Every time I visit there are problems with the toilets, on Saturday it was flooding in the corridor leading too them. Lovely having to wade through 3 inches of goodness knows what. Talking of toilets, old, dirty and hideous springs to mind. Everything in this place looks like it needs a... More

I liked the venue! tables set up on platforms so easier to see the stage.Live acts performing friendly staff.I went with a group of friends, it was quiet when we got there , atmosphere not bad wood floors very rustic looking, stage set in the corner. My only criticism is dont go for the food particularly, as I felt it... More

OK where do I begin? The venue is marketed as a trendy music/ mexican restaurant and it failed on both! We booked a table 1 month in advance and were told the only table available was at 7pm. When we got there the place was empty and we had the pick of the whole place. At no stage during the... More

Went for Joss Stone / Beverley Knight gig and overall it was an enjoyable evening, mostly because i was with good friends - the venue needs a better sound system, we arrived an hour before the main event and were by the bar - we had a good view of the stage but could barely hear Joss or Beverley sing,... A great evening accompanied by 5 girl friends, food was good, plenty of it and full of flavour, there was a problem with one of the main courses (burnt) however this was dealt with speedily and professionally, which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately due to the management putting our table right in front of the stage we had to move when... More

Went for dinner, and found it an odd set up, not really dinner tables and chairs. The staff were fantastic and the food was great. Later the tables are moved for dancing and live music, which was also great.
