We've been to Exeter a number of times over the last year and done several of these free Redcoat tours whilst we were there. They generally start at 11:00 or 14:00 at the marked meeting point next to the Cathedral and last for 1.5 hours. Although there is some overlap of information between some of the tours the guides (who... More

I've made this tour twice in November, the first time with Ann, and the other with Nick. Both were brilliant and full of knowledge with a lot of experiences and hints about Exeter to share. Of course I will join the tour again in another opportunity. Thank you dears, you are all lovely :)

Very informative and interesting. Would definitely recommend it as a way of learning about Exeter and familiarising yourself with the city. This tour is free and I have paid for tours that were not nearly as good. Thank you Sharyn.

Our guide Ann Kennedy was brilliant, very knowledgeable and a great easy going style. Her knowledge of Exeter is very good like all the Guides I have been with. These walks are a great way to learn about Exeter, history in general and go to places you wouldn't know about. Oh and there are free !!

We took the basic, introductory tour and had a very interesting time. We saw bits of Exeter and learnt history that we would otherwise not have, Our guide was very informative and knowledgable. You can just turn up (check the website or tourist information for details) and its free. I can't recommend these tours highly enough.

An excellent free tour with Richard our guide. I learnt a great deal presented in a very clear way with plenty of interesting stories. A great way to see some of the city and pick up something new.

Great tour by Barbara. Learnt lots and saw parts of Exeter that I would never have seen or noticed just wandering around by myself. Can't believe this is free and runs all year round! What a fabulous idea from Exeter City Council, especially in these times of funding cuts. Have recommended them to others I know going to Exeter.

I took two of the guided tours and loved Ann's Exeter Old and New tour. Very professional and informative. The Ghost and Legends tour was more crowded and a little corny but still I learned a great deal about Exeter. Do not miss these guided tours.

A spur of the moment decision to join a guided tour around the delightful city of Exeter. What a fabulous decision that was! Our guide, Ann, was a joy. Full of important information and amusing tidbits of local folklore. My fellow walkers and I totally enjoyed the 90 (+) minutes and had I had more time in Exeter I'd have... More

90 minutes free education and entertainment in a beautiful and historic city, whats not to like? Although some parts of this tour touched on things I already knew there was stil plenty to learn. We visited some churches I had never seen inside before as well as going into the Catacombs for the first time. As usual on these tours... More
