We've enjoyed four FREE tours with these wonderful volunteers. So much to learn and appreciate. Having been a student in this glorious city over 50 years ago, these gentle walks were all a revelation. There are many more, but we've enjoyed our time on - Canal Basin to Countess Wear (boat out, walk back along lovely towpath, or boat return,... More

Had a great tour of Medieval Exeter, our guide was fun, informative, and knowledgeable. We were sorry not to have been able to take another tour

Our volunteer guide Sharyn was extremely knowledgable and keen to answer questions. I went on the Medieval Exeter walk, starting outside the cathedral, walking through centre of Exeter and finishing on the Quay. It was fantastic- definitely recommend!

On a visit to exeter, the one thing that always impresses, is the FREE Guided tours. They make an already great place even more interesting. Pop into the Tourist Information and they will tell you were to pick up the start point.

Just turn up, (singles, couple, families) outside the Royal Clarance Hotel right by the cathedral at 11:00 0r 14:00 where your guide will introduce their-self. We have enjoyed each of the many tours, some repeats, we have made over the years, learning something extra at each, as each guide make each visit individual. This is because they have so much... We joined the free Medieval Exeter tour with a very knowledgeable guide for a two hour walk around some of the older parts of Exeter stopping off at some very interesting places including the Guildhall and the medieval bridge. Several of the other tours look very interesting too; a pity that we were time constrained. We'll certainly do another one... More

I had some time to kill in Exeter today and decided to go in a red coat tour, I've been thinking about trying one for a while so thought today was a good time to try. It was a great tour. Very informative. I've lived in and around Exeter all my life and I learned so much on today's tour.... More

Had a walking tour with Jenny this morning, and she was fantastic! She knows some of the oddest little facts about Exeter, and is truly passionate about the city. If you're looking for an orientation (and I know Exeter is going to be full come the Rugby World Cup in the autumn), then I can't recommend the Red Coat Walking... More

An interesting and free tour. Richard, our guide, was informative and light hearted, which was just the right balance. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
