Just turn up, (singles, couple, families) outside the Royal Clarance Hotel right by the cathedral at 11:00 0r 14:00 where your guide will introduce their-self. We have enjoyed each of the many tours, some repeats, we have made over the years, learning something extra at each, as each guide make each visit individual. This is because they have so much... We joined the free Medieval Exeter tour with a very knowledgeable guide for a two hour walk around some of the older parts of Exeter stopping off at some very interesting places including the Guildhall and the medieval bridge. Several of the other tours look very interesting too; a pity that we were time constrained. We'll certainly do another one... More

I had some time to kill in Exeter today and decided to go in a red coat tour, I've been thinking about trying one for a while so thought today was a good time to try. It was a great tour. Very informative. I've lived in and around Exeter all my life and I learned so much on today's tour.... More

Had a walking tour with Jenny this morning, and she was fantastic! She knows some of the oddest little facts about Exeter, and is truly passionate about the city. If you're looking for an orientation (and I know Exeter is going to be full come the Rugby World Cup in the autumn), then I can't recommend the Red Coat Walking... More

An interesting and free tour. Richard, our guide, was informative and light hearted, which was just the right balance. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We were met by a very informative guide who walked around Exeter with us for 1.5 hours and showed us so much that we would never have found ourselves. Bob spoke clearly and loudly so was easy to hear even with my hearing problem. We did the 'Exeter Old and New' tour. We were only sorry we didn't have time... More

We stumbled upon this tour on Saturday morning. The signs in the Cathedral close did explain the tours but whilst we were browsing our guide came and spoke to us and so we joined the Cathedral & Quay tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minute walk around the city. Our guide was engaging and enthusiastic. Definitely recommend this as a... More

We were the only people to join the murder and mayhem tour yesterday evening but you wouldn't have known that; our guide, Bob, couldn't have packed any more energy, enthusiasm or information into our tour. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend these tours.

A guide walked us to see the the tunnels that carried fresh water to the residents of Exeter. Devon. A side street, off the black and white shop buildings in the centre of this tiny city, showed a new side about the long gone residents life. We donned safety helmets and slowly climbed down into the tunnels below the residents... More
