An excellent attraction giving an insistence into Agatha Christies lifestyle at her country residence near Dartmouth in Devon. A well worthwhile trip - we took the ferry there from Dartmouth which was an excellent way to see the surrounding area. The commentary on the ferry was interesting and entertaining. The grounds to the house are superb. An excellent day out.

As National Trust members on holiday in Devon we were really looking forward to visiting Greenway and made sure of a car parking space by booking on-line in advance. Our initial reaction was quite positive. We took a leisurely buggy ride up to the house (the driver was very friendly, jovial and informative), followed by a drink in the café... More

Used in the last Hercule Poirot tv episode it's where Agatha Christie was able to escape to and work in peace and quiet.

Hello, thank you for reviewing your recent visit to Greenway. It looks like you enjoyed your time here. Agatha Christie did indeed escape here; it was her holiday home where she enjoyed time with friends and family away from the public eye. She didn't tend to work here however; instead she would come to Greenway when she had finished her... More

Not particularly au fait with the works of Agatha Christie, other than the uber famous ones, I hadn't realised just how prolific she was in her various guises and you learn a lot about the lady herself ; Guides very knowledgeable and informative.I suspect the gardens are also worth exploring in better weather but August Bank Holiday Monday was a... The views from here are superb. Chairs were on the lawn to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Gardens lovely. An old Leyland bus takes you to various local towns depending on the departure times. Really lovely

Thank you for your review, we're so glad you had a lovely trip to Greenway. The bus is a fantastic way to get to Greenway - it's operated by the Greenway Ferry Company so ring them for departure times. We hope to see you again to enjoy the house without the scaffolding, which is coming down next month. More

We had a lovely day out here. The house and gardens are beautiful. We had young children with us and the staff were brilliant with them, house and garden quizzes are free. There is a shop and cafe. We visited here on a sunny Saturday making use of the Greenway ferry from Dartmouth pontoon. Although we had already passed Greenway halt on the steam train we particularly wanted to experience the river ferry. It was a lovely trip up the river and the scenery is breathtaking. We had a good walk around the grounds before visiting the house. Some... More

I can't fault the house and the guides/volunteers around the place are marvelous. My only gripe is the entrance. You are met by a team of very aggressive sales people who will almost beat you up to try and sign you up as a member. I was also very annoyed when I got home and checked the price I had... More
