We've given our comments on this service in a review of Greenway, but to summarise: the boat is poorly maintained the trip is overpriced compared to the fares charged for the x3 longer trip on a far better boat to Totnes, and if the wind is following the boat you can't get away from the diesil fumes at all!

This is a great way to travel to Greenaway. It was raining the day I travelled and the "captain" lent me an umbrella and give me a great commentary on the way. In addition to getting to Greenway the ticket includes the ferry across the river Dart where there are a couple of super restaurants/pubs.

The steam train journey from Kingswear is an excellent way to visit this holiday home of Agatha Christie. The house has the atmosphere of a much loved holiday home. There was so much to see in the house that we didn`t have time to visit the gardens. We will go again, I hope. We took the ferry across to Dittisham... More

Not much you can say except this is definitely a journey worth making...this is such a beautiful area and seeing it from a boat makes it so much more enjoyable!

this ferry is an excellent way to visit Greenway the two man crew were real characters and pointed out many landmark features that you wouldn't otherwise know about

A quaint, picturesque town to drive through but nothing else! Thoroughly disappointed it didn't seem to have a lot more to offer in terms of shops or refreshments. If your crossing the river by car ferry make sure you get in line and don't push in front! We drove through Kingswear to get across to Dartmouth but they do not... More

Very informative journey up the river towards Agatha Christie house. Lots of interesting things to see on the way including seals!! Could be a bit cheaper but we thought the fee included entrance to her house as well! It didn't.... Staff help you on and off boat. You can sit outside or inside. Plenty of seats. Easy to get tickets... More

Well , such winding lanes in Devon ! We followed directions for this small passenger ferry . We ended up In a national trust car park so pleased we took our card . As it was quite expensive .. £7.50. However we really enjoyed it . Check out the tide times though as first of all we tried to scramble... More
