This day was mental, there are so many children doing so many things and often cuddling with animals too! It is an adults nightmare but a kids dream. Take the kids as they will love it, cuddling ducklings, piglets, lambs then riding your own tractor, jumping on a trampoline, feeding chickens, getting lost in a maze and finally pond dipping... No wonder Pennywell has won visitor awards ... it is one of the best tourist attractions Devon has to offer. There is not an hour in the day when something is not happening to engage the attention of children. Ferret racing, feeding the goats, milking the lambs, tractor and horse rides - the list goes on and children get to... More

You can spend a whole day here as there's so much for the kids to see and do. Animals are lovely and nice variety. Lots of trails and activities. Good rides and fabulous play areas including a maize maze and pond dipping area. Oh, and the view 360 degrees is one of the best I've ever seen. Tip: bring a... More

We came to Pennywell on the last day of our holiday to Devon, I must admit I was at first put off by the price as it was raining consistently all day and I didn't think we'd get our moneys worth. However it was well worth it. My son got to collect eggs from the chickens, make the lamb feed... More

Thank you for a lovely review. We go to great lengths to make sure that visitors have as much fun on a wet day as a sunny day and it is really nice when it's appreciated. We also give a free wet weather return ticket which is valid for 7 days so that if you miss any of the outdoor... More

We just spent a lovely spring day at Pennywell farm. I took my two girls, 10 and 8 (it was little one's birthday) and spent most of the day there. They have a show or feature every half hour including cuddle baby pigs, feed the lambs, falconry and tractor rides. For an extra fee my youngest enjoyed a donkey ride.... More

Thank you for a great review. It always makes us very happy when someone has enjoyed the farm as much as you obviously did. I will pass on your comment about Matt being the hardest working man in Devon, although I'm not sure he'll be easy to live with after such a compliment! Thanks again for taking the time to... More

We have just been for about the 10th time, it was my daughters 4th birthday treat. The wife and I and my daughter love it. Plenty too do, all sorts of shows.Staff very friendly. Very clean and tidy. Nice to see they are making some improvements, and there are new attractions. I would recommend it to anyone. It might be... More

We received a wonderfully warm welcome on arrival and immediately booked up for a pony ride. The day was jam-packed full of activities, starting with egg collecting and including puppet show, tractor rides and pig racing. Our little girl loved the pony ride, egg collecting and the various slides. The staff were friendly and the man who led most activities... More

What a great review - thank you! I will certainly pass your comments on to Mark and he will be as pleased as we all are that you enjoyed your visit and packed so much in. Thank you for being so gracious about our Cafe closure which was unavoidable on the day and I hope that you will enjoy the... More

We visited Pennywell Farm in mid-March 2014 and were surprised at how much there was to do. We visit a lot of these farms and they often open only at weekends, or only do the tractor rides etc at weekends. Pennywell offered a full range of activities throughout the day, one starting every half hour, from puppet shows to lamb... More

We came back for our 3rd visit to Pennywell Farm in February halfterm and despite the terrible weather, had a thoroughly enjoyable day! The animals and hands on activities are great and we recommend getting there early to make the most of these before it gets too busy! The food is little pricey and a bit unappetising! But by far... Very expensive in all areas... Entry fee... Cafe.... Animal feed... Gift shop.... Plenty to do for youngsters between 4yrs - 10yrs any younger/ older than that and the place becomes tedious very quickly..... So wouldnt recommend going with a single child under 4 as me and my partner discovered. Staff were great! Pig race was fun... May return when the... More

I am genuinely sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit and also slightly shocked to be described as over priced. Regardless of when you visit there is always a different, activity, show or display every half hour and a choice of entertainment throughout the day with all the animals, rides and play areas.
