Today we visited the best farm we have been to in 16 years of parenting. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left there was something to do. Starting with pig cuddling then onto goat milking, pony rides, tractor rides, pond dipping, ferret racing, bottle feeding orphaned animals, owl displays...the list goes on. All interjected with more micro-pig... More

A good day out with the kids although a bit harsh that children are all one price admission despite some attractions being 8+. Our 5yo loved handling and seeing all of the animals. We went, luckily, during the locals term time. I suspect in the holidays it would be much busier and very annoying. One thing that was quite annoying... More

Really pleased that you had a good day. The child price is the same because although our Go Karts are for over 8's we do have a number of rides and attractions that are particularly suited to little ones, so there is plenty for all ages. We hope to welcome you back to Pennywell again soon. More

I chose Pennywells to go to for my daughters 4th birthday as we were on holiday. As a family we had a very good day out, there was lots for them to do. I think its great for younger children rather then older ones. We pre booked a donkey ride which was easy and on time. Well laid out and... More

Always pleased to hear that we contributed to a Happy Birthday! The birthday rosette is always received well. Sorry to hear that you didn't feel that catering staff were as friendly but at busy times in the Cafe they don't always have time to chat as they don't want to keep people waiting. It's a shame you didn't mention the... More

Please get a bird expert to look into whether the poor lonely bird is ok in small pet handling part on way in to farm. It pushed its little tail out of the cage and I stroked it for ages,it kept blinking at me in a lovely way,but even if its feathers have grown back its clearly lonely as hell... More

Thank you for your review and we're pleased that you enjoyed your visit. I can assure you that Gucci, the bird that you refer to is far from lonely and is out of the cage with the staff every day. She does love attention and will lap up any affection from the visitors which is why her cage is in... More

I went along with my son, friend and her son. All and all a good day out. My son is 3 and feel that £9.95 entry fee to be steep for his age. The staff are very friendly but a little sparse. I loved that there was a lot of free activities for the children in the lunch areas (I.e... More

Sorry for a bad review on what is a sweet little place to visit for animal lovers. My family and I took my daughter to pennywell today for her 2nd birthday as she loves to get close to the animals and have a hold which is great as this is pennywells strong point but what is dragging my score to... We are obviously very sorry to hear that you felt your good day here was ruined. We never seek to mislead our visitors and our leaflet states that there are four farm rides included in the admission price. It clearly states that there is a charge for pony rides but we do consider it a real optional extra because there... More

All in all it was a good day out for me and my girlfriend. However, I feel that there should be more supervision at the pig handling section as the pigs can be a bit difficult at times.

Really pleased to hear that you had a good day out. We do offer supervised handling sessions for the very tiny piglets and during the busy school holidays I'd like to assure you that we do have a member of staff in the pigs area throughout the day. We hope to see you at Pennywell again soon. More

Fantastic day out, fun for all! Love that the price includes the tractor, barrel and train rides. And of course the pigs are so cute!

When this was suggested to me as a day out for two grown men (in our 20's) I was slightly dubious to say the least what with no child to take along! I agreed mainly as I have a keen interest in pigs. Turns out I needn't have worried. The place is obviously child orientated but I enjoyed it immensely.... More

On holiday with wife and three year old son in Paignton. What a wonderful day out, plenty to do and see. He especially loved the pig racing and was over the moon that he got to hold the flag. Couldn't get him out of the play barns and he slept all the way home. Only small concern is that people... More

Thanks for the review and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your day. At quieter times of the year it is not always possible to have the piggy area supervised all the time which is why we have piggy cuddle sessions at regular intervals through the day. We don't want to stop visitors cuddling the pigs but do take... More
