We visited clovelly when in devon. It was very tranquil and the views were spectacular. The walk down through the village took you back in time to the old fisherman cottages.A lot of history all well read and viewed. You can buy a combination ticket that lets you enter hartland abbey as well and you can save four pound an adult.The... More

Its hard to find many positives about this alleged "attraction". But I guess if you enjoy walking down (and back up) a really steep cobbled path with precious little to see at the bottom of the path - then maybe its worth paying £30 (2 adults and three children) for the privilege. It's not for me though!! We didn't know... More

In all honesty it is not the ideal start to visiting the lovely village of Clovelly. We were expecting a lot more about the history of the village being displayed. Although the the short film on a loop in the Clovelly-themed cinema room is a good introduction we would have preferred to see more photos and stories of the history... More

I was a little bemused by the concept of paying to go into a village. As the visitor centre is so huge in proportion to the actual village I imagine the funds go towards its upkeep. There are some lovely view points over the bay, the waterfall is pretty though a challenge to get to by walking over the boulder... More

I'm sorry but there is no justification for this. The village looks scruffy with a lot of tourist tat shops and there is no way I would ever want to go there again. I remember Clovelly from many years ago and it seems all the charm has been sucked out of it in pursuit of a fast buck.

Clovelly was a lovely place to go. We found a lovely waterfall after a wobly walk along the beach. The donkeys there were also great, we went into the donkey paddock which was really great. Would love to go again. Also we'll reccomend it to others.

After visiting this place over 15years ago with my grandparents, I decided to see if it was still as magical as back then. I was a little disappointed. Even the fudge wasn't that great :( took a picnic to avoid paying anymore money (after the pricey entrance fee-which we hastily walked through the tat on sale...) and nearly died on... More

Visited Clovelly & agree with the majority of reviewers that it is a quaint, interesting place spoilt by the expensive entrance fee & tatty gift shops. Would be much more sensible paying for parking as others have suggested. The museums are OK, the cafes / restaurants are decent with jolly service. The harbour itself & it's scenery is the best... Really upset we visited closely as a family if 8 not being aware you have to pay to walk around the village .... Didn't think this could be allowed anyway after asking the lady on the pouring rainy day we don't want to see the museums just have a mooch and see the harbour she abruptly said you have to... More

Went as a family of four and had a lovely time there although it is let down by the amenities. The village itself and the buildings etc are great to see and very pretty. You'll enjoy the cottages and gardens which eventually lead to the little harbour. However, it is let down by the 'tacky' shop which has all those... More
