Have been to St Mawes Castle many times. Great for the kids.They can explore the castle. It is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Great audio tour all and all part of the price. I agree with all the the prior reviewer said. It's very picturesque sitting on the hill overlooking one side of Falmouth Bay. Imagine a three-point defense: St. Mawes on one side, Pendennis Castle across the bay, and St. Anthony's Lighthouse as the third leg overlooking the bay. You can see St. Anthony's. St mawes castle is in a fantastic condition on the waters edge. They have a great audio tour that takes you back to the time of the spanish amarda. Great place for a picnic in the grounds.
