Have visited and stayed at Gwithian Towans for the past 7 years. We love everything about it. The relative peace even at the height of the holiday season; the beach and tides and surf; the fantastic views of Godrevy lighthouse and St Ives Bay. Really should keep this a secret.

An amazing 3 mile stretch of beach, no crowds, fantastic views, great surf, clean, surrounded by miles of dunes, the best in Cornwall - so why have I rated it only 3 stars - what's the catch???? A section of beach in the middle is a designated dog beach, however inaccessible for dogs and their owners as the access steps... More

We are a family of 4 with kids aged 11 and 8. We were in the area for 2 weeks and of all the local beaches we favoured this beach by far even though it meant we had to drive here and pay for parking. Unlike nearby sheltered Carbis Bay where we were staying, which is also great but has... More

If you want to experience the very best of the glorious coast this area has on offer then look no further. Seldom is it crowded, even in the height of summer.Always relaxing and good for the soul.Whether you a walking the dog, playing with the children or just watching the world go by....it has it all.

Didn't get to spend much time there but managed to smash my iPhone 6 screen on the gravel :-( but didn't care because that place has the best view ever! I would drive from Colchester every week one day on a good day just to spend the day there! Beautiful!!!! Wouldn't mind getting myself a house down there and I... More

Best beach in Cornwall in my eyes! Joins up with Hayle and Godrevy beach providing 3 miles of glorious sand. Great for surfing, kite surfing, jogging!

We walked past here on a long coastal walk to mutton cove near godvrevy lighthouse to see the seals. The beach went on for ages and was a very lovely beach with beautiful clear blue water.

Gorgeous beach. Very safe for children with great swimming, surfing and rock pools for the kids to explore. Would recommend a smoothie from the Godrevy cafe. Can't wait to return next year.

The beach is absolutely stunning. It is beautiful on a sunny day, the water is crystal clear and perfect for families. Depending on the weather, the surf is good for board sports or calm for paddling and swimming. Even on a cloudy or colder day, the beach is literally a breath of fresh air. It is so beautiful, I noticed that... More
