We spent several days at this beach, it was great for the kids because they did not have far to go so easier to keep your eye on them. The waves were just right for a bit of body boarding and the sand fantastic for castle building. There is a café by the beach for snacks and drinks and you... More

A small popular beach for families. You can keep your eyes on the kids. You do need to get there early for a good spot. Some small rock pools for junior rock poolers. Can be a little tricky for buggy access, but not if lots of pairs of hands. Always worth the visit when in St Ives with young children.

One of the delights of St Ives is that its location around a headland means that no matter which way the breeze is blowing, there is always a beach that is sheltered. This beach is relatively small and deep, so is frequently sheltered, but its small size means that it can be crowded

Only popped in for coffees towards the end of our holiday and wished we had called in sooner. Nice location on beach with good attentive service. The lemon cheesecake with vanilla ice cream was superb. Will definitely book again when next in St Ives. Regards Gary Saunders

Lovely beach bit small for sea bathing but convenient for cafe. Public toilets at top of slipway and on the edge of town centre the only difficulty is parking.

This beach is so beautiful to go to early in the morning.. its sunny and deserted and the sea is so clear. Theres a little beach cafe where you can get cheesy chips etc; the food is not great at all, but much needed after an icy swim!

This is a lovely beach but when busy is difficult to access via the car park. Lovely area though and well worth a trip.

Steeply sloping, but with wonderful golden sands and great for children, this is a wonderful little beech. Even better is the fact that it has the wonderful cafe on hand next to the beech, serving food and drink into the evening. Also beech huts available. What's not to like?
