Nice little cove

Lovely little sandy cove. Safe for families. Can get quite packed in peak season. Nice little cafe too.

This has gone down hill over the last few years. Service is more when it suits then and the food is not very good.

Even on a cold windy day this is still a beautiful beach. Well worth a visit if in the area to get a great view of the Atlantic.

Lovely little sheltered beach with all amenities close to hand (cafe, bar, takeaway, toilets) also only a few minutes walk from the main town, no dogs aloud on the beach but just above it (the island) is a nice grassy area where you can pitch up with dogs and watch all the goings on and around the beach, we love... What a gorgeous lovely little beach. You could be fooled to think that this a beach abroad. Small, but perfect for those with kids. Clear waters and gorgeous views.

Lovely beach close to town and sheltered ,constant presence of gulls made eating on the beach a not wholly pleasant experience. Great for safe family fun but best either eat inside elsewhere or pitch a tent as some families had and eat inside it.

Porthgwidden is a lovely little beach which is ideal for younger families with a gently shelving beach, sheltered by The Island and safe bathing. Lovely beach cafe (licensed for parents!) which serves a wide variety of cooked foods, sandwiches / baguettes and salads, as well as ice creams. Porthgwidden Beach Cafe overlooks all of this, which is also great for... More

Fantastic beach! Soft yellow sand, blue clear sea. My family doesn't a couple of days on this beach, it was perfect. Its a steep road up to the toilets though.
