Great beach but knackered by the time we got there. Need to do some more walking me thinks. Ice cream stop at Carbis bay beach helped. Mr Unfit.

Windswept and long, this is the beech for you. Not the most wonderful beech to spend the day with the family, but if you want to walk with your dog then it is great. It is tidal in parts so be careful

Viewed from coastal path-looked very nice! Huge beach, very quiet. Paths down to beach from coastal path looked as though they might be a bit awkward.

On a really hot day this was a nice place to sit and watch a few swimmers. We found a shady spot and there a couple of nice walks in the shade.

This is a lovely secluded beach that tends to be quiet and is dog friendly all year around. The beach is clean(ish), life guard supported in season and beautiful golden sands for everyone. Not a beach if you are looking for amenities such as a shop/bar or toilets so bear that in mind, otherwise a very nice beach.

Wonderful beach, when tide out lovely soft sand and great views. So nice to be able to take the dogs and as there are no facilities, not very busy. Best beach we found in cornwall to take the hounds!

For this part of Cornwall a very rare year round Dog friendly beach and when the tide goes out you have around 1 mile of golden sand to walk on. No amenities so take everything you will need and ensure you know your tide table!!!

If you come from St Ives, or Carbis Bay, you can walk there taking the coast path, very enjoyable walk, and you can walk all along the dunes, and have a rest after on the lovely sand, and then take train back in Lelant Saltings

So, if your dog loves the beach then we all know that they hate Easter because the Sunday before Easter is when the beach bans kick in. However, not on Porthkidney. This is a vast expanse of sand just to the north/ east of Carbis Bay and at low tide the expanse continues all the way around to Hayle and... More

A February walk from Carbis Bay to Lelant along the coast path, when we got to Porthkidney there were only 2 other people and a dog in sight. A lovely bracing walk.
