A February walk from Carbis Bay to Lelant along the coast path, when we got to Porthkidney there were only 2 other people and a dog in sight. A lovely bracing walk.

Clean, ideal for walking and some surfing. No really close parking so was not busy. If you don't mind the walk then great area for kids to run and play on the sand and in sand dunes behind.

Fantastic beach, open all year round to dogs, clean and tidy. Vast sandy beach, we saw seals when we visited yesterday. Favourite beach

We took our pooches here a lot, very few people around, not easy to access, please see above, but well worth the trek to let your pooches have a good run while you enjoy the beauty of the wonderful surroundings. No shops/amenities so take anything you want/need with you

This is such a massive expanse of sand, and so breathtakingly beautiful. The estuary is clean and sparkling, so pretty. We saw lots of dog walkers here too and everyone cleaned up after their dogs, so no worries there. No shops or eateries nearby so be sure to take a picnic. Breathtakingly beautiful place

We didn't go down onto the beach but it looked beautiful from the Southwest Coastal Footpath from Lellant to St Ives.

This is the best beach in Cornwall, because it is relatively unknown, unused and unspoilt....... long may it remain that way!

a long wide beach, with a shallow bay and very few people, just five miles from St Ives, impossible - think again

We were lucky enough to be staying nearby on a recent holiday to the area. It's a short treck through the golf course to get there but well worth it. It was such a good find. I loved the early morking walks with my dog. Such great memories. There are no facilities there so take everything you need for your... More

Lovely long beach, clear blue sea and white sand. Would be great to walk along if you had a dog. One thing to remember is even though it looks a long beach, once you get to the river bit on the beach you cannot reach the otherwise without travelling a long way round. If however you go by car, would... More
