We visited The Castle Inn for a Sunday roast in early October. The place was relatively busy but we had no problem finding a place to sit and were encouraged to move some tables together so our party of 6 could eat together. Four of us had the roast - 2 lamb and 2 pork and the meals were very... More

I was recently visiting St Ives with my wife & sister, I run a web site in the USA that promotes travel to Britain, and I am originally from London, so I know my stuff. I love pubs, unfortunately they are closing at an alarming rate and I am not a fan of the new Gastro pub. So when I... More

After visiting St Ives many times we were delighted to go in the Castle pub last week. The beers and ciders were amazing, the food looked brilliant ,but most of all the barmaid "Sarah" made us feel like we were realy special. Nothing was to much trouble for her, she was highly proffesional and obviously very good at her job.... More

I've visited four days on the trot being on a short break in St Ives. Mandy and Sara behind the bar are very personable and friendly and professional. The drinks are kept well and served well. I didnt eat but food looked good. I will be back

We had the best fish and chips ever real cod rare in this day and age with real chips. The guys behind the bar recommended a couple of ales and they sure knew what they were on about. Amazing flowers outside and I really felt like an old sea dog with the low beems and decor and thank god not... More

Food was good & service friendly but priced a bit high considering how much we actually got on our plates, (Ham, Egg & chips for adults and scampi, chips & peas for children) The children's portions were adequate but adults were disappointing.

This isn't your typical trendy restaurant in St Ives but it is a traditional pub that serves fantastic food. I'm not a seafood eater so this can be a bit difficult as St Ives is known for Sea Food restaurants but my Husband whereas he is. This was perfect as I could enjoy home cooked traditional foods whilst Hubby and... More

Visited several times on a recent holiday to St Ives. Staff knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Food was lovely and had excellent real ales and choice of guest ciders which changed during the week. Quiz night on Monday was great fun and pub was packed.

If you are in St Ives, browsing the shops on Fore Street, you have a few decent choices at hand. One of them is The Castle Inn. A traditional pub adorned with maritime decoration, dark wooden beams and tables, and a well stocked bar. Plenty of cask ale available, the beautiful Cornish Chough 'Fire Raven' porter on my last visit... More
