Experienced Shanty's lantern ghost walk whilst visiting St. Ives for a long weekend. The stories he tells are really captivating and the whole atmosphere of the evening is incredible. You really do get to experience the darker side of St Ives and I don't think I will be forgetting any of the stories in a hurry! Definitely worth experiencing if... More

Shanty is a brilliant historian and story-teller - I found my self rapt and holding my breath as he recounted tales from times past about the grim goings-on beneath our very feet. I live in St Ives and wasn't aware of these stories - I'll certainly be more mindful where I walk from now on! Who knows what may lay... More

We took part in the Ghost walk on a very windy stormy evening in St Ives in November which just added to the spookiness! It was great fun for all- as well as lots of spooky local stories, it is also a great back street tour of St Ive's. The story telling was captivating and Shanty Baba was very knowledgable... More

We had the pleasure of taking the Ghost Walk on Halloween evening. Shantys stories were enthralling, full of story telling passion, the locations for each story was perfect, the grave yard the best. The tour lasts about 1and half hours and worth it. Some of the walk is up steep hills but the walking pace is relaxed so its not... More

A group of six of us were treated to Shanty Ba Ba and his ghost walk of St Ives. Was great to hear stories and get to see areas of St Ives that we would have walked past without experiencing. Really enjoyable evening and can not wait to go back and experience the pirate version of the walk to hear... More

I visit St Ives twice a year and without fail go on one of Shanty's walks. He does tend to vary the walk quite considerably, perming 6 or 7 stops and tales from a repertoire of about 20 that I have experienced over the 10 years I have been doing a Shanty walk. He also takes time to chat to... More

Really enjoyable walk around St Ives. Did this walk about four years ago with my sister and we did it again this year .I think all the stories are the same but because of the time in between our last walk we had forgotten half of it. It was very cold in September, so make sure you wrap up warm,... More

We went on Shanty's Lantern Ghost Walk on our recent trip to St Ives. It was brilliant, Shanty is an enthralling storyteller and really sets the scene of the smuggling and ghost tales. It is not an easy walk, as it is in St Ives there are a few hills to climb, but it is definitely worth it. It is... More

This is a great way to spend an evening. Went on the pirate walk which was enhanced by children dressing up as pirates so if you are bringing your children do get them to dress up. A thoroughly engaging storyteller who includes everyone on the walk. Well worth £6 do go!
