Description: Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St...
Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St Ives. Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1 1/2 hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can be made by Mel, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. Or phone to book

Chose the Dolly P having read the reviews - it was nice to know who to head for amongst the array of other boat trip providers. Initially a bit disappointed that our planned 1.00pm trip was cancelled due to mechanical problems on board (!) but we grabbed a crab sandwich and waited until Mel rang to say we were on... More

Lovely boat ride although the sea was a little rough on the day we sailed and was slightly nervous when our driver had his back to the front of the boat whilst we were traveling at what seemed like fairly high speed. That said we saw lots of seals and the lady who we collected tickets from was very friendly.

Once again this summer we returned to Cornwall for a beautiful 2 week holiday. Staying just outside St Ives we regularly visit our favourite town. No holiday here can be complete without going on a boat trip from the harbour. And the best boat to choose is Dolly P!! In fact this time we treated ourselves to 3 trips on... More

Booked to go and visit seal Island, departed on time except For going back for late comers. Captain was informative and friendly. About 20min journey to seal island which was beautiful definitely not for the easily sea sickness sufferers. Unfortunately did to high tide we only see 1 seal be see some beautiful waves crashing against the rocks and if... More

Everyone involved in this trip was very friendly. We and a good safety briefing before a fun journey over! If you don't like speed then beware as the boat is fast and it gets a bit choppy but personally that makes it all the better! Lots of seals (we spent a decent time watching them) and then a very scenic... More

This was a very entertaining boat tour. We went to the lighthouse instead of Seal Island because of a light wind and slight chop. The woman selling tickets by the lifeboat station told me this in advance. She also explained where and how they would board (it was low tide, which creates some special conditions). The transfer to the little... More

Always a bit wary about some of these trips touted around the harbours of our resorts but that wasn't the case with the trip to Seal Island on the Dolly P.All the staff were friendly and efficient making it a very pleasant hour,I was pleasantly surprised how close we were taken to these gorgeous creatures and how knowledgeable and helpful... Took this boat trip on a windy and rough day so instead of going to seal island the boat kept close to the shore and in smoother waters giving us a commentary on the beaches etc. luckily we did see a couple of seals in the water so all in all the best trip was made of the not so... More
