Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St Ives. Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1 1/2 hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can be made by Mel, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. Or phone to book

My wife, 14 month son and myself went out to seal island on a wonderful summers day. The skipper was very friendly and informative and was very courteous throughout. We had a pleasant ride to and from seal island and as well as seeing the seal colony's we encountered dolphins that swam along side are boat. Worth every penny!

We went on this trip last year and I never got round to doing a review. Weather was fab the day we went on our trip and it was great fun. best way to see St Ives. If you do get to see the seals even better. We were lucky that there were a few seals when we got to... More

My girlfriend and I had a trip out on the boat last week and loved it! The trip out to Seal Island was very bumpy but that just added to the excitement. We had to transfer from the dock to the Dolly P by small boat as the tide was low, and then on the way back too. We saw... More

Great activity if you want to see the Cornwall coast from a different angle. Managed to see a few seals on seal island. The boat ride was the best part.

Chose the Dolly P having read the reviews - it was nice to know who to head for amongst the array of other boat trip providers. Initially a bit disappointed that our planned 1.00pm trip was cancelled due to mechanical problems on board (!) but we grabbed a crab sandwich and waited until Mel rang to say we were on... More

Lovely boat ride although the sea was a little rough on the day we sailed and was slightly nervous when our driver had his back to the front of the boat whilst we were traveling at what seemed like fairly high speed. That said we saw lots of seals and the lady who we collected tickets from was very friendly.

Once again this summer we returned to Cornwall for a beautiful 2 week holiday. Staying just outside St Ives we regularly visit our favourite town. No holiday here can be complete without going on a boat trip from the harbour. And the best boat to choose is Dolly P!! In fact this time we treated ourselves to 3 trips on... More
