Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1½ hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can only be made by Derek, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. « less

Took a boat trip to Godrevy Lighthouse on the Dolly P after reading all the good reviews on here. Called up in the morning and were told we could go down the same day (they do numerous different trips so I think they schedule each one based on projected numbers). We certainly weren't disappointed, although it was quite the peaceful... More

Not your average slow boat around the bay our trip on the Dolly P was just the adventure we had been promising our four year old grandson. As the tide was just coming in we were taken out on a skip to meet the Dolly P then told by our captain Mike when we past the green marker we would... More

Our second visit on the dolly P. Yes the boat does go fast and it can be choppy but adds to the enjoyment. If in doubt just look out to sea as I am confident the skipper can't influence the weather. We went to seal island on a beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Saw several seals for 15 mins... More

If I'm honest then I wouldn't have gone out on Dolly P from St Ives if I'd known how choppy it'd be as I am a bit of a scary cat, but I am so pleased that I did it as it was exhilarating! We were taken from the jetty by a small boat with an outboard motor over to... More

An amazing way to spend an hour! For only a tenner per person you get such a good time. A lovely guy picks you up from the jetty in a tiny boat and takes you out to the bigger boat, the captain/guide on the big boat was funny, helpful and very knowledgeable. The trip put to seal island is great... More

We'd been on the boat for 20 mins or so already and had seen the seals. Me and my partner had just been saying how the trip was worth the price - I mean, it seemed faster and so much more fun than the others, and then the Dolly P seemed to draw in closer to the seals than the... More

The boat came on time! There are good views of the coast and when you get to seal island it's nice to watch seals in their natural habitat!

Hour trip to seal island and it was great. Young lads running the show but don't be fooled, they know their stuff and I was confident in their abilities. Highly recommend
