What a view! Wonderful from the café just above the sandy dunes. Enjoy something colourful with an umbrella and the entertainment are for free. Surfing, bathing families, couples on honeymoon and so on.....

Great beach but you are really spoilt for choice in St Ives. Start of a superb walk towards Carbis Bay & a great cafe on the beach front

Always come here for dinner once when we visit, as our "special treat" night. Along with at least three visits for coffee or afternoon snacks. The food is delicious, the venue has superb views, right on the edge of the beach. Yes, it is a little more expensive than some St Ives restaurants, but then you do get what you... More

This is the 2nd visit to porthminster cafe...I was disappointed the 1st time and have been disappointed again. I will not be returning again. It seems they only want to seat you in the plastic marquee type extension whilst leaving the restaurant devoid of all customers ! The coffee was sooo bitter it was almost undrinkable! Much better places with... More

All the beaches are beautiful in St. Ives, but driving through the crowded, narrow streets is a nightmare and forget about finding parking. There is a park n' ride, but we just wanted to spend a few moments here for a quick look see. Much too crowded for our taste.

We had a drink in a bar on the beach late one afternoon. The drinks were reasonably priced and there we plenty of tables available. The beach is lovely and sandy. The beach was also very clean. There are plenty of facilities such as bars, snack kiosks and toilets. Deckchair hire is available and the train station is less than... More

Everyone had fish and enjoyed it. View onto the beach was good, a pleasant restaurant to relax and have a nice meal. Im not a big fan of fish but did enjoy the smoked mackerel pate.

This is our favourite beach ever. We've been here a few times now and while we go other places, this is my clear favourite. It's clean, well looked after, fine white sand, amazing views and clear blue sea are all beautiful. The refreshments are all great too and good value. Tip #must visit.
