Another place in St Ives where a great view and great food do go together. Highly recommended for breakfast.

Had a few lunches here, excellent standard of food from the porthminster beach people. Staff very good, attentive, smiley and happy. Had crab sandwich which was so good and great value for money when you consider the amazin location.

Beautiful beach with good cafe. Very popular with families and surfers alike. Café was a little pricey but excellent coffee and good choice of snacks and meals including tapas. Lovely place to watch the world go by.

We tried this for the first time today and wondered why we hadn't done so before. The tapas were excellent and priced just right for a lunch time snack. It was very accommodating as some were there just for teas/coffees, others just for tapas and the rest for full meals. Great choice.

perfect location, so regarding the outlook you have it`s always worth visiting the place. The food on the other side is just about average, quite nice but definitely nothing special.

Brilliant beach, half mile long, full facilities similar to PorthmeorBrilliant. Chairs not quite as good. Wonderful looking out at surfers. Entertainment for the day.

This really is a stunning location. Fine sand, with the clearest of water and a good cafe as well. Can get very busy in the season as one would expect being so close to the town, but even so, a beach not to be missed. Lots of interesting things to do in the immediate vicinity as well. Is this better than Carbis Bay beach ??? - lets not argue - just enjoy it and have a snack at Portmeor Cafe - great for light lunch or morning coffee but far too noisy for an evening meal - so enjoy the beach

Just a fantastic day at this beach! Sand is firm and gradual shelf - so when tide is in kids can go out quite a bit and still be water at their shoulders. Guards do a great job separating the surfing beach from the swimming beach. All amenities are convenient - restrooms (surprisingly clean), drinks (kid and adult varieties), and... More
