Porthmeor beach is a very big and spacious beach. Here you will find the fantastic st.ives surf school, delicious Porthmeor beach cafe, an ice cream parlour where you can purchase items like sun hats, sun cream and many, many more things. The only thing that might put you off Porthmeor is the seagulls. Unfortunately like anywhere else in st.ives is that on the... More

Truly wonderful beach which is very busy in the high season but go early or later in the day and you are able to enjoy. Fabulous for surfing/body boards. Great café and beautiful cliff walks nearby. Try and catch the breathtaking sunsets too!

Liked everything. Disliked nothing. Almost too perfect, but perfect it was. We had dinner on Porthmeor Beach Cafe and it was paradise. We watched the sun set and clinked our glasses.

The children's menu gave them enough choice so they were happy. With pleasant and efficient staff and lovely views we had a great time and will definitely go back on our... More

Nice cafés with a view where you can enjoy the surfers and the beach life or why not join the gang? A lot of activities to choose from.

Beautiful, clean, lovely white sands, perfect waves: breathtaking! We had such fun on this beach. Great atmosphere and well served by cafes with a terrace that also do takeaway snacks. Also, there's a surf school and bakery on the beach. Truly fantastic.

Of course the sand is amazing, the backdrop of the town beautiful and the rocks around the bay interesting, but unlike Mediterranean beaches there is also a tide. When the tide is out the beach becomes a massive pitch for football, volleyball and cricket; as it comes in the waves break and everyone switches to surfing or bodyboarding; and when... More
