Our favourite beach to visit in St Ives. Perfect for learning to surf (visit St Ives Surf School to book lessons / hire equipment)' a great beach cafe as well as more upmarket cafe / bistro. Clean toilets as well !

It was lovely to sit on the balcony at Porthmeor Cafe and see the fun had by surfers, dogs and kids on a warm sunny day in April!

The best tapas we have ever had and we've tried a few! New menu for this year but still the old favourites on there. Well worth a visit.

A stormy weekend in February but this great beach was full of surfers as the waves pounded in. If you don't want to surf, the surrounding cliffs on the island are a brilliant vantage point to watch. Good clean sand as well

We have been going to Cornwall for years but had never been to Porthmeor Beach before. Some friends told us about this lovely beach, the largest one in St. Ives on the Tate Gallery side, which is only a short walk from the harbour. This is a lovely clean beach, family friendly and patrolled by lifeguards in peak season. This... More

Gorgeous Food, indoor or outdoor seating even cosy outdoor sheltered tables love this. Special treat as bit more expensive than the street cafes but well worth it.
