This is a lovely beach with a couple of small snack type restaurants right there serving ok food. The water is freezing, but the sand is great and the children had a wonderful time digging and putting their toes in the water.

Location - down a VERY, VERY steep hill. Beach clean, sea very blue on a lovely summer day. Beautiful bay, on a lovely summers day, could be anywhere in the world as the view is fantastic.

This is such a lovely spot with it's own beautiful beach and a railway station. The train which is single track hugs the coast to take you to St. Ives without the worry of where to park. There is also a bus service to connect with places near and far. Only downside to Carbis Bay is that it is very... More

A beautiful expanse of land and sea, great bathing and a superb beach cafe! It is located down a long and steep lane but well worth the effort. Beware parking could be very expensive!

We were in Lelant. Took the coastal path to Carbis Bay. ADVICE: If you're not an experienced mountaineer with rugged boots then DON'T. I am not exaggerating when I say my fiancée & I were close to death. 200ft sheer drops off muddy 18" wide paths, with no hand rails or even safety nets is not recommended. Got to Carbis... More

Grew up in this area and not too much has changed over the years, now that I'm a visitor. Summer traffic can be fearsome and Park and Ride is essential unless you need very hard exercise up the hill. The coastal walk from Carbis Bay to Porthminster Beach is one of the most relaxing you can find.

Carbis Bay is stunning. The beach is immaculately clean and sick a gorgeous setting. We spent hours sitting, building castles and enjoying dinner on the beach. The carbis bay hotel is a very nice hotel, we visited for lunch and the food and service were outstanding. Carbis bay in general is a very peaceful, picturesque place and we can't wait... More
