What a lovely town. You can sit on the bench and watch the sun go down on a warm evening, watch children play or just simply chill out and relax. You can catch a train to Carbis Bay or drive down from Hayle. It is a short drive from Hayle you can also walk along the beach.

Quieter beach than those in St Ives, beautiful sand, gentle waves for paddling kids. Carbis Bay Hotel Bar/Cafe is overpriced, nearly double that of elsewhere, but it is in a gorgeous spot. Perfect for running off the beach for a cuppa when the weather turns wet & wild!!

Beautiful Beach to look down on as we could not walk as it is too far, apparently there is a lovely restaurant and things to do there but be careful if you cannot walk down and of course could not walk up so for us it was a no go!!

Absolutely love this beach, beautiful and with good weather it's just like being abroad. There are facilities ie, toilets, shop and bar, pricy so may be wise to take your cool box but fab. Oh my... The walk back up the hill to the car park is extremely tiring if your unfit like us lol but the beach is so... More

Carbis Bay is a beautiful relatively small resort five minutes from the bustling town of St Ives. It has a gorgeous beach with an expanse of white sand and cosy eateries. Although busy, it has not reached the packed numbers that St Ives has and therefore still holds an escapism factor. Gorgeous and remains unspoilt.....

Carbis Bay is between St Ives and Porthkidney Sands and can be reached at low tide from Porthkidney via the coast path from Lelant, or via road between Lelant and St Ives, and via train on the branch line from St Erth, which in itself is an amazing scenic journey. Parking is expensive at the bay, so we came by... More

For a relaxing time on the beach this is a must. You can't surf or body board here. Well when we went it wasn't wavey enough. We went to Gwithian for that. Worth buying a posted wind breaker as it was well used and kept us warm.

We stayed in one of the self-catering apartments at The Sands (available through Carbis Bay Holidays) and this beach was just five minutes away. It's a beautiful stretch of beach, very clean and well kept. The walk back up the hill certainly kept us fit!
