We recently went to Carbis Bay for my mother in laws wedding (at carbis bay hotel). The views were stunning, the area was kept so clean. Train services to st ives were fab and inexpensive and the coastal walk was beautiful. Beaches were so clean. It is a fantastic place for couples and families alike. Highly recommend, cannot wait to... More

Carbis Bay beach is really beautiful and has all of the facilities that you may need to hand - a beach bar, a nice restaurant, water sports, ice-creams and toilets! All in all a perfect place to spend a day on the beach :-)

great beach pity about the cafe went to Carbis bay in March and noticed they were building a new beach cafe area, nice sit down cafe/restaurant but coffee at £3.50 for a small cup is a bit steep, outside is a take away far cheaper but mainly hot burger meals, chips, paninis, pannini was ok, the two cafes were like... Beautiful stretch of fine white sand with stunning views of St Ives and Godfrey lighthouse. Gently shelving. Ideal place to stay to explore surrounding areas. Check out Carbis Bay holiday apartments which are all 4 and 5 star. Parking at the beach is limited and expensive ( about £8) but if you get there early there is a small car... More

This beach is beautiful, you could almost believe you are in the Caribbean! ! Its certainly the best beach ive been to in england. The kids had a great time and lived playing in the water which remains shallow a long way out so great for younger kids, the waves are smallish but still strong enough for a spot of... More

We stayed in Carbis Bay and found the beach beautiful and well kept. We loved the burger bar and the restaurant, where we could get very reasonably priced food and more importantly, beer. The only drawback was the steep climb back to our rented house... made easier by the beer! The weather was awesome for September, one of the warmest... More

The beach itself is beautiful, get a sunny day and you could be anywhere in the world. however, parking is expensive and it fills up very quickly due to its being so close to the beach. Expect to pay a premium for any goods you buy and if you eat on the beach prepare for gull attacks.

We were lucky enough to have a holiday home above the beach and so it was a (steep) walk down to the beach each day. The beach itself is like something from a med holiday. Clear blue sea and relatively calm waters. Sand all the way which was great for the children and little caves and even a little waterfall... More

Very nice beach, not a lot here ( cafe etc. ) but relaxing and I think safe for children. It's a steep walk down from the coastal path and from the train station, it made me puff. For a day on the beach it's ideal.
