This beach has a sea as calm as a lake so is lovely for swimming and great for younger children too. The beach is friendly and litter free and even when crowded gives a feeling of space.

A stunning beach with excellent sand and no surf so ideal for young children. Gradual gradient and clear water. Spectacular views. Better to catch the train as parking is limited. Access to the beach down a fairly steep slope so bear this in mind if carrying bags etc. Caught the 9.09am train from Lelant Saltings, arrived 9.15am and hardly anyone... More

At the foot of a steep hill with a small expensive car park, £9 per day, an 800 metre long clean sandy beach. Ideal for families with young children, calm waters and RNLI lifeguards, some water sports with tuition Inc. kayaking. We stayed in an apartment here so parking not a problem. No dogs.

Beautiful secluded and sheltered beach with soft white sand and a gentle sloping beach into the sea, perfect for families. A real sun trap in the summer but equally as perfect all year round Sheltered from the wind facilities include a café, shop and toilets so everything you need is there

A sandy and nice enough beach but very limited supply for food. Good if you are heavily in to water sports.

Do some work for the Hotel at Carbis Bay so we decided to bring the children to the wonderful sandy beach. The facilities are faultless. Clean toilets and lovely food shack and good selection of snacks. This is also a life guarded beach at peak season which is brilliant. My only concern is parking. This is very limited and costs... Beautiful beach, safe and clean. There is a shop, food and drink kiosks. We parked in the station for £5 per day which was up a very steep hill, but we could drop off and pick up then only 1 person had to go through the pain! The car park for the beach was £9 per day and very small.... More

Carbis Bay is accessed by a steep road and is dominated by the Carbis Bay Hotel. The bay is lovely and suitable for children to play. There are toilets, refreshments and a new Kelly Ice-cream Stall / Beach Shop / Hot Drinks – the blackcurrant and clotted cream ice-cream was wonderful. There is limited parking associated with the hotel for... More

It's truly hard to pick a particular beach in St Ives because there just isn't a bad one. Every beach is beautiful with golden sand that goes on forever. One thing I noticed about St Ives was that it is very pet friendly. Lots of people bring their dogs on holidays and they have particular beaches for dogs and their... More
