Point your compass south west, take a left turn at Shangri- La, hold your breath for as long as it takes to descend the hill into Carbis Bay, let your breath out and the word 'paradise' will softly escape! The unpreposessing car park entrance, although prettily landscaped, cannot prepare you for what lies within these ocean side apartments. Once through... more

We have always thought of St Ives as idyllic but to avoid the crowds we stayed at these fabulous apartments at nearby Carbis Bay. Quieter and yet within easy reach of St Ives ( 3 minutes by train) and the rest of Cornwall, Carbis Bay was magical. Directly overlooking the beach with views across St Ives Bay from St Ives... more

A lovely, quiet beautiful beach - more tranquil than St.Ives, yet you can walk there from here. V. steep climb up to the hotels though!! Felt miles away from the noise here - a special place. more
