This is our favorite beach around the St Ives / Penzance area and is perfect for family's with a lovely sandy beach that gently sloops into the see, easy accessible cafe and toilets. All good things come at a cost and for Carbis Bay its either a steep walk down a hill, or paying a rather large parking fee. The... More

We love this beach, the children couldn't wait to go back everyday we were in Carbis Bay. The white sand and turquoise sea are beautiful. The walk down was ok, but going back up was a slog. We have been two years running and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had a school holiday trip to Carbis Bay beach and had a great time. If you get there early you can park in the beach front car park but this is £10 for the day. There is parking up the hill for around £3 but its a bit of a walk! The facilities here are undergoing an upgrade and... More

As with all beaches in Cornwall, getting there is down hill, its a bit of a climb back to the car on the return but don't let that put you off, this beach is a wonderful family friendly beach with lovely soft pale sand and lovely views. There is a good café which isn't pricey and a shop or two.... More

Went here 3 times, we loved the family friendly sands. £10 to park at the hotel but £5 at the station just up the hill. You need to get there early for the station, we used this then got the train into St Ives which takes 3 minutes for Dinner. Beach has a Blue Flag, its clean and safe with... More

You can use the Park and Ride to get here and it is one of the loveliest beaches. Space available even on a hot August day.

This is the best beach in the area in my opinion. Sheltered between the two outcrops of land this beach with its great sand and lovely clean water has it all a perfect little sun trap. The beach has plenty of amenities with shops and toilets. The only downside the excessively expensive parking however this isn't the beaches fault !!

I loved the area of Carbis Bay. The beach was great, but I didn't like the walk back up the hill. The car park at the Beach was very expensive, £10 for the day, and the food wasn't cheap either. An alternative was the station car park at £5, or the church which had an honesty box although it was... More

What a fantastic beach. It's huge and the sand is very fine and pale. When the sun shines and the sea looks all lovely turquoise and blue and then the white sands it surely doesn't get much better.
