Carbis Bay is beautiful. The beach is my favourite of any I've ever been to. Stunning scenery! But it's more than that. It has a feel to it that keeps me any my family coming back. Makes me tingle with emotion. It's my spiritual home I'm sure. A lovely base away from the hussle and bustle of St. Ives but... More

The beach is at the bottom of a steep hill and is not the easiest of access for the less than agile. We walked to the bay along the coastal path from St. Ives and saw several families struggling to cope with pushchairs over steps and particularly over the railway bridges. Access to the beach itself is only possible in... More

Carbis bay is part of St ives where there is a very quaint place full of narrow streets an a variety of unusual small shops with all things to buy . There are lots of little cafés and also some restaurants scattered around town and around the harbour. There is a large car park at the top of town where... More

Lovely 4 star hotel. Staff exceptional - friendly, charming and courteous. Quality of cuisine is first class. Wide choice of menu to suit all tastes. Superb views with terrace leading to private beach and facilities. Lovely spa too. We only called in for coffee in the conservatory this time but stayed last November for dinner bed and breakfast for three... More

We tried 4 different beaches in St Ives and none allowed dogs on... this was really annoying as it was 6pm and there was NO ONE else on the beach, so what harm could we have done. The signs said dogs were not allowed from 8am to 5am, so any dog walks have to be done in the three hour... More

Fantastic view of the bay and unspoilt beach. Access to a bar and restaurant next to the beach, with parking at the bottom of the steep access road. The beach is a very short walk from Carbis bay train station, which is on the short St Ives - Penzance line.
