The pool is a lovely place to sit with a pint and at times the view is awesome! However the pool its self i find odd. Equally as cold as the sea around it and half as fun?
We visited Jubilee Pool on the last day it was open for the year. It was absolutely freezing and we needed wetsuits although there were brave souls there with just swimming costumes on. It's got loads of character and it a must for anyone who likes Art Deco design. There's a children's pool, which is (allegedly) slightly warmer. The changing... More
We loved the Jubilee Pool. Although cold (bracing !!) it is such a wonderful traditional lido that it is hard not to enjoy the totally unique experience - even the changing cubicles are an experience. Definitely worth a visit - if you have one, take a wetsuit (no matter what time of year you go), plus a cosy cover up... More
Cold salty water, slimy walk areas. Couldn't find an area that the wind didn't get to. Painted an almost luminous blue. Food was astronomically expensive. Not the sort of place I'd ever go to again.
It was nice and quiet in the morning when we went, so for those hoping to avoid the kiddies or rush, it was ideal. HUGE pool, very long and very deep. Visually, a unique experience, with some interesting history. Bit expensive for tourists, not too bad for locals, but the ticket is valid for the whole day, as many visits... More
The pool was lovely but the water was too cold for us. There were lifeguards all over the pool so it was really family-friendly.
I visited with my five year old daughter and my parents one who has a motorised wheelchair. Everyone was accommodated. My father was unable to use the main entrance or get to the pool level as there is no wheelchair access or ramp at this property but he was still able to enjoy the views and monitor our activity by... During my stay in Penzance I visited the pool several times as it was easy to access with parking opposite, reasonably priced and secure for children of all ages. On our first trip we took a picnic and bought a few more drinks and ice creams during the day as we went at 10.30am and didn't leave until late in... More
What I didn't know about this pool is that the restaurant within the boundary is very, very good with a fantastic choice of excellent fare. The pool itself seems to be a large and attractive area, and although I prefer the sea, I could be tempted ... if it wasn't too windy! It is located right on the Penzance shore... More
Only wanted to go in to say I had been in pool and only in for 10 minutes. It was great once I had got in as it was very cold. Bit annoyed that paid £4.60 and if it had been 10 minutes later would have got in for half that price as after 3.30. Lovely place to take the... More
